Well, exactly. Either you waste time while I kill creeps, or it works just fine as a defensive technique.
I'm very much looking forward to the first time Guildford tries to 'out-wait' a perma-mister. Example #1 of how /not/ to deal with that situation: stand around like a dumbass, waiting for Godot. Yah, you'll be able to block his retreat, as soon as he's auto-demisted due to your citadel falling.
Not 100% sure that's all english, but you didn't exactly poke a hole in my plan to sit in a creep path for five minu
Bat Swarm's an AoE. Also, Mist doesn't work as a substitute for HP, as Erebus can't gain HP in mist form, and any opponent with half a brain will just walk out of mist and wait for you to reform when you're out of MP. A smarter player will also make sure to block your exit when you can't move in mist form. It's pretty much handing them a free kill.
That would be why I said basically. :P And do you honestly use bat swar
Playing with it a but, I've found that Mist doesn't nessasarially have to replace Erebus' normal strategy, but lets you do one very cool thing- you only have to invest in mp items, basically; since you're invincable in mist form you don't really have to pay for armor the way every other character has to. EDIT: Also, Mist is basically Erebus' only aoe attack, so if you plan on farming creeps well you basically have to use it.
Another problem, could Erebus teleport between the lanes? Could Torch Bearer shoot across to the other lane? While that sorta map would look awesome, it'd give ranged characters a massive advantage.
My favor points haven't updated in the last six or so games I've played. I'm stuck at 240 favor points, and no items. Kiiinda getting frustrating... is there anything I can do to fix it?
The problem with the mist build is that, since it takes so much mana to do, you can't get armor/attack items, and you're pretty much stuck only using mist... which won't kill human players... which means you're stuck with just using creeps for your xp/gold. On the plus side, if you're on a map with a big creep bottleneck, you can rack up some crazy kills using that strategy. The one thing I'd change is to not put points into the things that give your minions more hp. Yo
I've found two things to be vital with ai teammates: First tower hp upgrade: the ai rarely gets it and you can use that to take down several towers and keep yours relatively safe. First gold upgrade: after I get this the ai seems to get the idea to actually start using the money it gets. Not sure if it makes them prefer citadel upgrades over equps, but in the 4v4, just buy that and the ais will buy about 2/3 of the rest of the upgrades for you. Now, the main problem is that if you'r
Ooze is pretty good in the lateish game anyway. It gets more efficent in damage/hp loss as it levels, and eventually lowers enemy's attack rates by a pretty massive amount. By the late game, -40% attack rate is worth much more than 50hp a second. Generally I skip it until I can invest several levels at once into it.
I usually buy the first building upgrade because someone has to and no one tends to. :P Same with the gold, when it comes online.
The problem is that while it feels like a good idea, can you really be sure you'll kill the enemy and die a second later? Misjudge a skill and suddenly you've died without getting a kill. At best you hurt your opponent as badly as yourself, but kamikazing stands you a very good chance to just kill yourself for no reason.
You're drastically undervaluing some of these items by ignoreing their abilities... for example, Ring of Divine Might lets your minions "knock away smaller enemies", which means kill them with one hit. That's pretty useful, and something you can't get through any other item.
Oh, one trick in I think Leviathin (the one with the snakes). Not only does it have two central healing crystals, but the path that comes right by your crystal with a small gap... the smaller characters can get healing without backtracking all that way. Did work for Erebus, did not work for UB. Don't know about the rest.
Also, sufficiently small maps where it only takes a few seconds to walk to the mana crystal, probably you should take other items~ Also, if you're a support class (regulus, qot), and you drain mp faster than hp, then also maybe take mp items instead.
Strengths : Very powerful minions, knows basic summon spell automatically Weaknesses : No basic melee attack Misc : Looks like a cube rotating on it's
There have been other peer to peer games. But the connectivity complexity is C = D * N*(N-1) where N is the number of players and D is the raw data being exchanged. Let’s work through the formula where let’s assume D = 10. With a 3 on 3 game, which, according to what I’ve seen in Supreme Commander, is the typical largest game people get into, C = 300. On Battle.net with Starcraft, the max number of players is 8. C = 560
Alright, I know this idea has been put forth a few times, but I just got an idea how it could be balanced; it wouldn't give people the ability to totally break the game or overpower newish players, but still give a reason to use up favor points after you've bought your preferred items. Instead of making favor items from scratch, give the ability to upgrade them in spesific ways, like you level up demigods. And like demigods, there'd be a cap, so you couldn't max out eve
I think Erebus will do just fine after the nerf, he's already the best at being tricky, fast, and annoying; just because he's taken a hit to his 1v1 skills doesn't nearly make him useless.
While being able to customize your minions would sure be cool (level * type * ability = cost)`, assasins already don't have anything to mirror the general's extra minions, and I don't think buffing them would exactly contribute to balance. :P `Also this setup would reduce the size in the window, making space for the extra options. EDIT: Why not, some spare ideas for each. Types: Minotour, Archer, Cleric, bird/angel, some sorta tankish mele
I'm not sure I'd use Structural Transferance... Rook doesn't have much mana to work with, so casting a tower, transferring on it, then casting a second tower (since the first may well have died) is gonna strain your mana even with a ton of +mana items. Gaining health another way is gonna let you get a lot more combat items...
I don't think hp and mp regen are really worth it once you get the Heart of Life. +20 hp/second only heals 600hp in thirty seconds, which is longer than a skirmish is likely to take. Activate the heart once you step out of combat to get five times that in both hp and mp.
Well, there's two potential problems with this: First off, if one player can do something that affects the whole game, that means it can affect his teammates too, and the developers seem to have gone through quite some lengths that you can't do anything harmful to teammates... the only exceptions I can think of are Erebus's hp potions (which isn't under your control), and Rook being able to drain hp from friendly buildings, which is rarely an issue anyway. Being able to affect teammat
Mm... better than nothing, at least. Plus they'd help out anyone else that shows up and annoy enemy demis. Oh, another tip- ambushes. I know these maps don't have much terrain, but I can think of three ways to manage it anyway. First off, teleporting. An attentive enemy might notice the sign of someone warping in, but even if they do, they won't know who and in what condition you're at. Second, play fog of war to your advantage. If you see a teammate fighting someone t

In fact, it did so little harm it would be nearly impossible to prove that I had done anything; no one would
