When will these companies learn that they are just punishing their customers. Adding ridiculous copy protection keeps the game from getting pirated for what, 10 days? Is the benefit of that really enough to justify alienating your market? In my opinion, the correct course of action is the one Stardock is taking. Never mind it seems I was being an idiot. When I right-clicked on the game and selected register, I assumed I just had to enter the serial number. Seems I also had to select the game from a drop down box.

I'm attempting to register the galactic civilization 2 games I purchased and downloaded. I'm copying over the serial number exactly from my sales email, but Stardock Central is telling me the serial numbers are invalid.
