Like Jafo, I'm not new at saying "Hi!" I've said it many times. And I'll say it again.....Hi Lumeah! P.S. I'm also an old hat at *being* "High"........but that's a whole other story.

And then there was Grammar Rock. "Your grammar's not your Grandma, it's your grammar!" Oh yeah, and Multiplication Rock. "Good, good, good, good eleven, never gave me any trouble till after nine...."
Hippy said: "Oh, and just to blow his secret, he's actually going to work in Ireland as a potato picker for a year." So he will still be working with "Skins" afterall. Enjoy the skinning break Tim. Hopefully the muses will return to you very soon. motion (another Tim)
I sometimes wonder if we don't exist in a bit of a bubble here at WinCustomize. Is customization really on the rise or is it our deeply rooted need for it to be so that convinces us that it is. After all, we think of ourselves as average, everyday people. We certainly don't think of ourselves as exclusive. We want to belong, just like everyone else, so if we enjoy customizing Windows shouldn't everyone? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/notsure.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle

There is another important point regarding "Spam" and it's effect on email. Email was supposed to be a benefit to business. Unfortunately, because of "Spam" email has not been able to live up to it's potential as a time saving business tool. There was a article in the Toronto based newspaper "The Globe and Mail" http://www.globeandmail.com/servlet/GIS.Servlets.HTMLTemplate?tf=tgam/search/tgam/SearchFullStory.html&cf=tgam/search/tgam/SearchFullStory.cfg&configFileLoc=tgam/config&enco
Thanks very much MadIce. Exactly the info I was looking for.
Is there any literature on the right way to put together a compound skin. Right now I have 5 skins, (really just colour variations of 1 skin) that I am trying to put together into 1 compound skin. The "Create Compound Skin" button in Skinstudio just isn't doing it. I can add all the others but only the original default skin seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. <img src="http:/
Great app! I've liked this from the first time I tried it. So much so that I bought it.
Smile for the day: "So anyone who thinks they can make better news should by all mean submit some." Although I know this is not exactly what you meant Brad it still gave me a chuckle. The reason: My wife is a journalist, so I know from experience if we start "making" the news than it's not really news...it's staged. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/lol
I've searched and searched through the site and I still can't find anything that states that only news stories that are relevant to Windows customization can be posted to the news section.
Purple haze.............'scuse me while I kiss this GUI
Jafo, I sometimes think it would be cheaper if I opened a computer retail outlet. I'd always have the latest, *and*, my customers would pay for it!
Since we would be considered "Elitists" anyway, and therefore suspected of hating and distrusting anything that isn't pure "GUI" related, lets discard all pretense and call ourselves the GUI Fraternity Of Xenophobes. For short, just "Gui Fox" OK, I had to reach a little for that one!
It's a little like that light switch on the wall that you flick up and down but it doesn't seem to control anything. No lights, no electrical outlets. It drives you crazy trying to figure out what it does....until you finally figure out, (or somebody tells you) that it doesn't do anything.
I was satisfied knowing that it did nothing. At least that let me know to ignore it....which is what I now do.
I think you're right c242. I've uninstalled the newest (beta) release of WindowBlinds (3.31h) and re-installed the "Released" 3.3 WindowBlinds. The skinbrowser now works fine.
Here is a little trick I use adni18. First I compose my message in MS Word. Then I run spellcheck. (Sometimes I even run grammarcheck ). Finally, when I'm reasonably sure it's ok I copy and paste it to the message board. P.S. Have dual monitors helps. I can have MS Word on one m
That explains it. Thanks all.
Every time I press it I just get "The Page Cannot Be Displayed".
Very sorry to hear that Brad. My wife and I know the pain. A year ago we lost out Golden Retriever "Rudy". He had been with us 13 1/2 years. To us, our dogs are our children. The loss was devastating.
Depends on how one defines "Computer" I had and still have an abacas as well as a slide ruler from when I was 10 years old. If you define computer as one of these boxes with a monitor attached, well then, my first was a Pentium 150 with...(wait for it, here it comes)....***MMX Technology*** (yippee!!)
In my case I looked at all the skins here that had a certain "sameness" and deliberately tried to create skins that look absolutely **nothing like** them. Sometimes the results are good, sometimes bad, and sometimes I don't even upload the skin, it's just so awfull <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/sm
Until this thread I had never heard of "email bombs". Sounds a little extreme. I guess my Norton Antivirus or Norton Internet Security is useless against such attacks. Now that I know about these, how do I guard against them? Is there even a way?
You are a more patient man than I BoXXi. If it were me, I'd say, sure, they are entitled to their nasty opinion, just not to the bandwidth it takes to express it. Hat's off to all admins and their infinite patience.
