Just to counterpoint some of all this negativity. I think its fine as it is with the random choices. However some more rare options tied to an individual path would be nice.

My biggest complaint against these epic monsters is their vulnerability to AOE. If they take up multiple tiles, they eat AOE effects for each tile they are in. I killed that plagueland one who is vulnerable to cold with one instant cast blizzard on the first turn.

Gilden got wiped out by either Magnar or Monsters dont' remember. But I found this outpost of his in a prime spot. Went to build there and even though hes dead, its stopping me from building there. Also since I can't declare war against a dead player I can't destroy the outpost. Level 1 and 3 champions are recruitable without any technology. Just like before it was lvl 1 and 2 champions. The other issue you are having I'm not sure about I know they can be attacked. But it seems odd that he was lvl 6 before. Unless as you mentioned maybe he started as a 5 but killed the stuff attacking him and leveled up. Monsters can lvl up in the game the same way so why not neutral heroes I guess.

In regards to the monster and the settlers on the same patch. That has happened to me too. What happens is if you select a tile to move to and the monster selected it also then you both wind up in the tile. It doesn't automatically start a fight if you are both in the tile by accident. Only if one of you attacks the other does it start a fight. coincidentally if this happens you have to move outta the tile to start the fight with the monster. You can't engage with you both sta

Alright so I been thinking. Resoln is unique with the additional spells Cersea gets. I would like to see something similiar implemented for each of the factions. Its really made playing her stand out. Unique spells like Dirge of Cersea are fun and once again made the faction stand out. Even if you don't have time to make them for each faction. Maybe at least make some for each race. Wraths have the additional spells already, so just do some for humans, troggs, etc?<

Despite this I have noticed the AI still builds its cities pretty close together compared to mine. I think part of that is they tend to build square cities. Where as I tend to stretch mine out to bring resources into the city walls.
