Now thats more like it! [e digicons][/e]
Anomander
After much bemoaning from myself.... the Dev's confirmed, yes we will be able to choose from a large selection of styles.
Would Giant Spiders fall into either of those categories Anomander? I likes ma giant spidies
8, 10 legs should be included too.... I would guess the ride on a giant spider would be the most comfortable yet. Though the trusty Fire attack are their weakness.
Personally, and joking aside... I would like to limit fantasy mounts to traditional creatures: Horses, Elephants, Wargs....and any other mythical beast that traditonally gallops on all fours or sixes! For Hero mounts, well thats another matter. Griffons, Dragons, Wyverns...etc etc all would be exceptable to me.
I actually favor the bear chariot, 4 bears in a row in front of you mowing down anything in your path whilst you sit comfortably behind in your chariot. A chariot that can be modified with a comfy chair, maby a dynamo attached to the weels for your mini tv and fridge. Ahh, cold beer cavalery!
Oh christ, a Charioteer has arrived.... yeah we've seen you guys at the stables, with your flame daubed chariots and whip fetis
Lies and slander! It's cuddly.
It depends surely on your favored bear riding style.... I favor the horned saddle, with stirrup attachments. You on the otherhand obviously favor the 'White knuckle' shoulder haunch grip. I trained in that method for a week, but found it too hard on the neck.
Number 1 for me has always been all things Middle-Earth. (I have a tattoo around my waste invoking the blessing of the Eldar in Tengwar- I know I am a bit of a dork...) I agree that Sil was a hard read until I became an adult, and I didn't get around to reading it until a few years ago. His books are the only ones I will buy multiple versions of just to collect them at 80-100 bucks a pop.
Dork no! Its merely a case of deg

The three Elementeers fighting amongst themselves. tut tut tut, this will not do.... Will S'partagnan arrive to united the feuding parties?
Quoting Anomander, reply 1Personally and in order... The Bible of Fantasy has to be: 1: Lord of the Rings [...]I suppose that as a nationalist who still hasn't gotten around to reading Mein Kampf in its entirety, it's not wierd to not having read all of the Lord of the Rings. I'd sooner be tied to the hog end of a car by a nook and dragged across the asphalt than subject myself to the droll torture. I subscri
Quoting Anomander, reply 25PLEASE STOP!!!! Please rethink your art concept. It looks like 'Fantasy meets My Little Pony'. Its awful!!!! How do you expect anyone, especially serious wargamers, even serious fantasy fans to take this game seriously. Why do you devs always take the 'fantasy' element as cute fairy tale? Lets have a game with an edge, a fantasy world that looks and feels real. Rant over!<b
Ok, now you're complaining that there are reindeer?! You DO know that reindeer have been around a lot longer than 'Santa's Reindeer,' right? And reindeer happen to look a lot like 'Santa's Reindeer' (or is it the other way around) because, well, "Santa's Reindeer" are reindeer! People even eat reindeer all the time in cold climates (I've even tried it - it's hard to tell what makes it bad, the meat or the cooking). What I find ap

I have read all of Feist's works...all! I happen to think him second only to Steven Erikson (Tolkien of course being the Zeus of the fantasy writers). I didn't on the otherhand know that the company was named after the old academy..interesting, thanks, is there no copyright infrigement there somewhere? [e digicons]:X[/e] Regardless of that fact I assume the founders named the company, and at this stage and due to their well earnt success have taken a more hands off role when i
Also I understand these screens are work in progress... I do note that the drop shadow on objects on the map, tend to give the effect of floating slightly above the landscape. The objects, City, Towers, Trees etc... seem not to be part of the land itself. View the lake centre screen for my observation.. https://www.elementalgame.com/Screenshots/Kingdom_Scott_City_1280.jpg
Have you two finished with your personal crusades? Whatever you thought you were achieving with your post break downs I hope you think its done. *Oh and for your info. I didn't know what JK meant...now I do. Flyguy apologies, but dont assume everyone is a forum nut and clued up with forum jargon. I can just about cope with wink, and smiles. ------------------------------------ Now onto the topic I highlighted: I've already established that the style is cartoon
Nostalgia, bittersweet nostalgia. We used to team up in a great gaming group, playing D&D until 6 in the morning. People left with their eyes still glittering from seeing far-off dreamscapes ... Those were the days, before people "grew up" and started to work / study, moved away. Do teens today even know about real RPGs? Nowadays it's too easy just to switch on your PC and get a fantasy shot, but it's not at all the same thing.
I GM a long running campaign.... Spiders and Driders always get a great reaction from my players, UTTER FEAR!!!! I love'm :)
Flyguy please, I have informed you I dont read your posts....to save you any further effort or wasted time I advise you to stop posting concerning me. The thread has evolved beyond your 'Respect us theme' and all parties involved have agreed to disagree on the subject of E:WoM art, but on some subjects we are very much of the same mind. Move on!
