From one in the beta for a year, and owns the game......wait! It may be a long one!
I'm in the same boat as many, waiting for a response to my refund request (I'm not a pre-order though). Once I get it, you'll not hear from me again.
Thats the point, those who have are being penalised for just that..Pre-Ordering!
I asked for my money back in BETA 4 (Note* I preordered a year ago). I knew in BETA 4 (And to be honest before) it was no where near finished and heading for disaster. And yes SD HAVE penalised those who showed some form of commitment & faith in them. 'No Refunds for Pre-orders' was the straight answer, 'hard luck' the reality. So much for the Developers who listen, who care! Nope, thats me done with SD.
Over the coming weeks and months we'll do a lot of hard looking to see how the rough start happened. Maybe I create an environment where people are afraid to tell me the "hard truths". Maybe our QA setup just isn't broad enough. Maybe we had just gotten too close to the project and didn't see things. I don't know. In time, we'll find out.
Or just listen to the BETA guys, me included that said it wasn't ready...

Why does your company refuse to provide refunds given all that's happened or to communicate at all? Stardock does provide 100% refunds to people who have technical issues with the game and 75% to those who just didn't "like the game". The return policy is stated when you bought the game (see

If it says anything I started a new Space Empires 5 game since this has been released.
Ditto, I feel utterly cheated and this game for me has ended the love affair with SD. Actions speak louder than words, but its good to hear nonetheless.
Think yourselves lucky..... Stardock and Impulse wont let me even Download the game I purchased back in January. I'm pretty pissed off, as I consider the transition from BETA to Full version as basic. Still waiting to hear from Support!
Yes its not in my games, I do have pre-release highlighted....and the registration is clearly there, with a Serial Number too. Weird.
Have done, but thought somebody may have the quick answer here.
I purchased the game preorder back in January... I've been playing the BETA since then. I saw an update in Impulse, clicked it and it installed a new version of impulse but without the game. so yes I'm using the same account!
Anyone from Stardock who can help me?????
Ok sorry for being stupid here, but I see people are playing the released version but I seem to have lost both my BETA version and the ability to download the released version. Could someone, in plain English, explain whats going on and how I install the new version of Elemental Many thanks.
My advice would be this: If you are buying Elemental primarily for MP, don't. It has it. It works. But IMO, it's not worth $50 to play the game MP primarily. If you like MP in ADDITION to having a fantastic single player game (and make no mistake, Elemental, as a single player game, is awesome in its release form) then absolutely, get it. So there's my 2 cents.
See this is my problem, what about the mug here wh

As a fellow Web/Graphic designer, I'd like to commend your designer on a cracking job. Its suitably dark and mysterious, and create's the right atmos. Good job!
There's a tech to torch a city.... hmmmm sounds a bit silly to me. Even the most primitive combatant could burn a city to the ground.
