For example a tactic that some use is to save the game, go over a goodie hut look at the treasure... didn't like it, reload and repeat till you get the best item you want. Similar with battling say a dragon and you get a bum roll or

If you look at coreimprovements.xml, the city hub improvement has the tag SaltedPork What i wrote above is what you need to make an item show up in the store always. An example of Salted Meat I added to the game for those that couldn't handle eating pork ;) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/75549875/Fallen%20Enchantress/FoodItems/S

I like the druid option...
- Charm monsters in battle
Isn't this already beastlord profession
Nature based spells like vines to hold enemies in place
Adding spells is rather straight forward and I don't see why this couldn't be implimented by the developers (adds more spells at least to the earth / life combo)
- Perhaps even (my favourite) SHAPECHANGE! which depending on level would transform the druid i

By your thoughts you are quite right that you will get (on average) the same xp per hero. Not really an advantage to either method, in fact, splitting the stack has the advantage of upgrading your lower units quicker (non-hero units) and having a larger amount of lower units at a higher experience level. But the real advantage of keeping one stack is the quests. The XP granted by quests is not split per hero, all hero's get the same amount of XP granted by the quest. So your

My best suggestion for this is that the monsters take the town and live in it until you can send a hero to free it open again through a quest / tatical battle and reverting the control to you. But that never got any thumbs up or down from the devs... they hid their true feelings about that system.
Economics of trading are absurd Why should opponents demand 1/3 more for the same technology? Long ago humans discovered that money was the best way to express value of assets. Find an economics graduate school major and have them design a system. They could write a thesis on it.
Would you accept somebody with a doctorate in mathematics? Or does it really have to be an economics major?

If it is at all possible, an alternative is that you lose all progress to current production and the city goes under a repair cycle for 5 turns (per level) (that is not contributing anything to the empire except unrest). During that time frame you may choose to raze the city or try to fix it up again. The common argument is that you should defend you cities better by training troops and stationing them in the town / fort you have, but at times I find that difficult to do.</p

One thing with summoning is the amount of summoning that can be done. I found it rather fun when I made a unit that was able to summon troops to fight instead of the unit itself (weak mage unit, strong summon unit). The summoning skill seems rather unfinished. I would like to see more types of summoning, for example. If you have Water, summon water elemental. If you have Air, summon air elemental. If you have Air and Water summon an Ice elemental. If you have fire and air summon a steam eleme

So, the point is here that people feel there needs to be XP splitting, but it is too much at the moment. I think increasing xp for all monsters would be too much and so there must be a middle ground for everyone. What mathematical formula would you propose for the XP splitting to occur. Since dividing equally is too much. Here is a convoluted formula to use instead. The actual values converges that no matter the number of heros you will always get at least half of the XP. (2^(

I recommend that you do something similar to that like henchmen and add a race pre-req for your tech. I'm not sure exactly how the tech tree works, but this will at least have only your race be able to use your tech, similarly you can add a faction requirement as well.

If stardock is still reading this thread. I've just remembered something that I would like to see implemented, it would make my female henchmen mod more functional for everybody that uses it (I think it was rather popular).
