The game runs fine, but I do get this aparent bottle neck as you have pointed out here. I do get a drop in framerate. I'm running nVidia GTX 555m. I hope that you figure this out because I didn't realize that I should be getting a higher framerate.

I see exactly what you see Derek. Everything is good on my end. Windows 7 64bit.
I can make these waterfalls on ANY map. Just cast raise land on the square just beyond a waterfall on the water.
(try to be responsible, it stresses our art director when you create stuff that looks bad)
I'll try to be responsible, but my 4 year old daughter sometimes forces me to choose pink hair...or other random colors.
I know.. I reported this bug back in .950, and I think I figured out why this problem is occuring. I have yet to hear word if this is on the bug list or the fix-me later list. I can reproduce this whenever I like with the raise land spell and so there is some work to be done here to fix this problem.
I suggest that the monster level up at their lairs be applied to each of the monsters. I wouldn't mind it if the creature lair had the party leader gain levels faster than the others in the group. I suggest this because if I attack these layers later in the game I destroy the other back-ups for the brute and then it becomes a easy battle between 1 creature with big hit-points. It would provide a better challenge if the other monsters gained some levels and make clearing these monster lair
Wow...just...wow.
I agree. I wish the game to be a super success because as you mentioned frogboy there is so much potential for this game and if it is a success I hope to see this exploraration of the vast potential for this platform.
Maybe it has to do with something else and not the video card...I can't say what, but maybe something in the background is causing a conflict of somekind. Possibly the anti-virus, that is the usual culprit to some of these problems.
Just a bump that this is still occuring in the current build of the game [.982]. Hope that one of the dev's see this issue. I think it has to do with no river ending in the other terrain types (plains, hills, and stuff).
I know the issue is that you want to play it at a high resolution, but my curiousity is a resolution change to something smaller give you a significant improvement to your fps?
I do like that you tell me how many monsters are in a stack... but I don't think it should be this big when you zoom way out in the cloth map.
Don't you hate when these bug posts get buried... mine do all the time. :)
Does it also persist when you create the unit? (just a curiousity)
Don't know if you have this problem fixed, but I have a saved game now that I hope reproduces the effect. It worked for all the summoned creatures that the custom sovereign Justine casts. End turn and look for Othollo (my hero standing next to her), the familar she casts has 12 / 10 hp. Worked in .982 as well. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/75549875/Fallen%20Enchantress/Familiar%20bug.EleSav </
I also think that if the unit is on explore that something should be visibly toggled.
Just an update (still there by the way). Starting a new game click on customize opponents, the tool tip reads correclty. But if you do it a second time, then you get the string not found. Specifically, if the difficult setting is set on custom, then customize opponents and click done, check the tool tip changes to string not found. Only happens if custom is alread the setting.
Still present in .982.
I see the issue and currently the tutorial would need to at least tell new players that this is the way it is represented. Once we understood this the system it works just fine. But if players do not take the tutorial then at least a load screen reading telling the player would be great. But we don't want to overload the system on these things. I would go for "+2 gildar to city income." The generic point of taxes makes sense as you take a percentage off the city income. Of
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock Games\FallenEnchantress\FallenEnchantress.exe" -cheat This is exactly what my shortcut says to allow me to cheat. I'm running 64bit windows with the default install path.
I just notice an AI player just cast a familiar and the familiar's hitpoints say 12 / 10. I was able to see this duplicated by waiting for the AI to cast familiar. Note: If you go to the details screen of the familiar everything reads correctly. Note: End turn fixes the hitpoints back to 10 / 10. Note: I did save the game, but a reload gives th
There does need to be some lower level spiffy items as well as these upper level equivalents we are getting. For example we could make the Ignys shortbow. Edit the stats appropriately for the lower level. I think this would be an easy change, as I can mod this myself.
Although the quest is labelled as weak to begin the quest. Does it mark the next stage as medium? I feel if the first part of the quest is easy then it is good opportunity to put it in the que for your quests, but I might be alone on this front. I'm not one to pick up a quest then immediately finish it.
That is why I posted this bug awhile back ( https://forums.elementalgame.com/432633 ). Glad that they finally saw it... I was so sad when I died to mites... :)
