I recall seeing to what you refer, but I seem to not find it again. I don't think it was addressing the issue that I am bringing up here, so I suppose I can ask this question in the beta forum.

It's really a question about patching, because you can always add a non-steam game through steam. Stardock is pretty good right now about announcing there is a new patch with an e-mail. I don't know abou their software, but I know it does do updates through it. Not sure how automatically.

Currently when playing the game it appears only the leader is getting leveled in the lair. Is it possible to raise the level of the other units in the lair as well? In fact, would it be possible to level the other units when the leader has leveled twice. I thinking this level progression 1 1 2 1 3 2 4 2 5 3 6 3 7 4 8 4 etc. I more concerned with whether you can level up the entire army as opposed to jus

1. Do you feel monsters act too randomly? No. They act like monsters to me. 2. Do you feel like early game monsters are too powerful? Some. But on the most part if it says weak it's weak. 3. Do you feel like the Faction AI is getting a free pass with monsters? No. But then again I am playing on challenging. I have noticed some issues, but I have the same saftey net with that difficulty. 4. Do you
But no problem, probably is due to Derek adding armor to the city defenders, so it's good to wait... and I hope they will fix several other problems reported till now by the community.
I think it really has to do with Brad and the AI (as well as some other optimization items they just discovered. Some people with low FPS will be a lot happier with the next build (not everybody though).

I may not be as hardcore as some of the guys in the Beta, but I've been playing these kind of games for a long time and IMHO FE is no Civ V. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
It is going to be bad to begin with because you'll get a crowd saying BLAH BLAH BLAH this is not 4x gam
I would prefer they made these spells level 3 and keep the 50 mana cost, but that is not their design goal I guess.
I suspect they did this because there are times when people start in non-ideal locations and need to bridge themselves out of the bad spot. I was thinking maybe 10 mana would be sufficient for the purpose. Because you don't want people to game the map either like GFireflyE says: [quote who="GFireflyE" rep

This dagger is popular in battle and by field surgeons, who use its blade to cauterize wounds. I thought this sounds a little better ;)

I enjoy the video playthrough, because you can point out sound bugs that are there.... For example, when you were in tatical combat and you checked the details the music changed to overland music. It loses the sense of imersion there, I posted that bug, but sadly it was ignored.

I wouldn't mind the ability to cancel these treaties, but it should cost you influence to the person to whom you are cancelling the treaty.

As has been pointed out as to why these games developed by stardock are so good, is the fact that Stardock's bills are not payed for by the games, but the other side of the business. The game part is a hobby and that drive there is what makes the work great. It doesn't say that great work doesn't come with money, as money does inspire a lot of people, but if the drive is purely money alone the number of mods (poorly made ones) will increase thousand fold. For example apps

This was the main reason why Japan had no armor and Europe had lots of armor. The access to iron was very important. I completely agree with Tuidjy assessment. Like Batman movies "Because the government didn't think a soldiers life was worth $300,000." Think of the equivalent gun that shoots through that armor... what maybe $3,000.
2. customizing my pc and civ is very fun, but not very balanced, certain abilities(enchanters, master scouts, binding) seem way better than others.
You would be surprised what people think are overpowered and not. There is a lot of strategy with each of these skills and people have been rather successful in making civs overpowered without the traits you pointed out.
4. I love the quests, the last strategy game that got me wrapped up in the story was king
