Something to keep in mind is that if injuries are too crippeling, they simply create the "reload save before battle" impulse that a dead champion has. A champion that becomes effectively useless after one or two lost fights might as well be dead.

I've never seen a negative balance of gildar--let alone one of that amount. It was my understanding--according to the manual--that troops would revolt or go on strike if they didn't get paid. Sounds like a glitch...1.1 is right around the corner anyway How to tell when you're playing a game too much; someone randomly
Somebody in another post said there is a "retire" option in the unit design menu. It would be nice if the manual included things like this as it should.
I am aware of this and I retire the AI's designs as soon as they come up, but it's still a nuisance. It gets extra annoying if you research a number of weapons/magic techs in quick succession and you need to clear up the AI latest wonderful design that takes 10+ Eleme

+1 for (optionally) turning off automatic designs. I hate it when the AI clutters up my unit selection every time I research a new piece of equipment.

He doesn't seem to have the nifty powers though, guess you have to attend the Sion Temples the Fallen factions build to get those.

I understand that mana thought 5 mana made it too powerful but 15/20 makes it useless. Perhaps 10 would give it the balance we were looking for???
Perhaps an early 5 mana teleport spell that transports only the caster? That way you can have magic users assist where needed, but you can't have one army be everywhere at once. S
Personal I think it should be 15 points per spell book if not 20, and only the two magic orientated leaders should start with any spellbook. I also think you should only be able to cast an elemental spell if you have access to that shard, so I guess I am a hopeless case.
Elemental: War of Mundane Tech?

Station your forces in the surrounding areas and it should reduce the amount of monsters. Or have I misunderstood? The only place monsters will not spawn is in territory held by a human o

It's a bug and it's been reported with any AI faction, though personally I've only seen it happen with Empires. It's a nuisance, and I hope it gets fixed quickly.

The problem with absolutely huge AI armies is something that is often related to a particular bug. The computer player goes into negative gold and can continue spending indefinately. A symptom "on the field" for this is the enemy fielding multple large squads of hugely expensive troops (such as Scions) in each army, usually very early in the game. It's not unusual to see an army with five units that each cost 20+ gold in wages each turn, clearly unaffordable in normal circumstances. Secondary

There are only two yellow icons currently active on my cloth map (apart from a zillion air shards): The dragon's dungeon and the master quest's fortress. Both these quests also specifically told me to "return to sender". Entering them does nothing, as previously described. I visited several yellow quest locations as part of both quests. The quest log is, of course, no help at all.

I currently have 2 quests active where I have finished all the required stages, but the game won't let me finish them. Specifically: I saved a dragon egg for a dragon, and now all I have to do is return it to the quest giver. I have gathered all the peices for the master quest, and now all I have to do is return the pieces to the starting fortress. In both cases I bring the champion that has all the items (and did the quest from start to finish) back to the dun
WINNER. TAKE. ALL. This is the part where we want to hear your opinions. We do ask that you keep an open mind on what we ultimately go with. My opinion is that the attacking player has the onus to finish the battle in N turns. After N turns, the attacker morale starts to go lower and lower at which point the defender can come out and make mince meat out of them. The question is, what should determine what N is? Or should we allow retr

All DRM is good for is to enable managers to tell the shareholders they are "doing someting" against piracy. Sure, it doesn't actually work , and the link between piracy and lost sales is nowhere near what is stated ,but that's hardly the point. The point is letting the shareholders (who are unlikely to have any actual tech or market knowledge) know they are being "tough on piracy". Investors reassured, bonus earned, everybody's happy. Well, except the custome
