Double delivery

Not sure where this should go, so I'm just defaulting to General Discussion:                    (Shipping irregularities forum?^_^ )

 

Anyway, I ordered Elemental as a Digital Download + Retail box, and my boxed copy arrived today. Much to my surprise however, it arrived twice.  I received two boxes, each containing a copy of the boxed game. The packaging lists in both boxes noted different order numbers and different dispatch dates (one on the 25th of August, one on the 26th). Anyone know what I'm supposed to do about this?

 

As a side note: I'd completely forgotten I'd pre-ordered the retail box as well as the download. On reflection I recall that the EUR/USD exchange rate was hilariously unbalanced at the time, and purchase cost + postage was still less than the local purchase cost would be in EUR. (if retail distribution was available in Europe, which was expected at the time) Imagine my surprise when I received two unexpected packages in one day!:grin:

same problem happenned to me too. Guys, it is ridiculuous how disorganised you are, really. Is it a proper way to run software company?

Not to mention that on my receipt after preordering, shipping costs were around ~12.60 pounds and you actually charged me recently ~13.60 on my card, whithout warning me first. What if I just cancel that transaction as one I don't recognise?

Honestly, fix it. And I am not saying please, because I paid you money for this unbelieveable customer experience. Money which I has not stolen or inherited, but earned with my very own sweat.

You must have gotten mine... I think my not-yet-ordered copy of Civ5 will get here before my pre-ordered EWoM retail copy from SD :p

It's hard to say just how that could happen as the boxes are packed and shipped by a third party fulfillment center. But please contact [email protected] so they can investigate.

I would suspect this is a result of the exchange rate fluctuating between the initial order and the charge, as the game and shipping are priced in USD. However if you contact sales they should be able to confirm what happened and deal with it appropriately if need be.

If by October I haven't received any kind of signal about my LE, I'll start to worry seriously. Very seriously. Meanwhile, here we have people receiving more than one copy of the game. *sigh* Glad for digital download at least.

Should be any day now for you, seeing as we're both in Europe. (and two weeks after release/sending is pretty usual for USA->Europe packages)
