To Winnihym, move your character or champion onto the resource and they will automatically pick up the midnight stone, then you can select the resource.

I am all for the idea with the caveat that it be with a four member party made up of very different characters. How about some thing like (with your own character of course) a succubus, a tiefling, and a Kurst ranger? Those are just suggestions to convey what I'm trying to express as the characters should fit in with the Elemental lore. The Elemental environment would lead to some very interesting and different story lines and quests - ancient runes, mythic demons, powerful witches,
As a Kingdom player, I have found that the best use of the Revive spell is to cast it on the area of a razed city belonging to an Empire faction. It will allow you to rebuild on it. This comes in handy if the Empire city had negative values (epecially food) but you want to take advantage of a useful resource nearby, such as an iron mine.
I don't think it is the harbours so much as it is a problem with the tiles, I am just a player, but I have noticed that many are misread by the engine - a land tile is misread as a hill tile, sometimes as a water tile or mountain tile etc., which is why occassionally, some land tiles cannot be walked on.
I'm sure that EA sees it that way, but how many times have we seen companies get into trouble when they get big and successful and then forget what got them there in the first place? It takes a good CEO to say, "okay people, let's take a deep breath and take a step back." Milking a success and cashing in works for a short time, but eventually it backfires and customers lose patience.
Altough it's a pretty good game, I have never seen such a diversity and polarization of views regarding a Bioware game before. I'm not smart enough to figure out what that means, but I'm willing to bet that, once they get over the shock,Bioware will be giving Dragon Age 3 a lot of love and will be lobbying EA hard to give them more development time. I look at the environments for Witcher 2 and Skyrim and the longer development times really show. This is not a criticism of Bioware (t
Some time ago, which is one of the reasons I didn't buy it. Listening to the music on it's own is better anyway. Besides there are a lot of nice pieces of music by that organization on you tube or one can go to their site directly.
I want boats to do stuff ... oh yeah, and a pony. Nevermind Lord Xia, I get first dibs on a pony!
We sometimes get too fixated on the technology and tend to forget that much of the overall problem is a very human one. There are way more game developments out there than there are good programmers. In recent years, senior executives from major players like Microsoft,Apple, Sun Systems et al have come to Waterloo University in Ontario, Canada (sometimes Bill Gates and Steve Jobs themselves) practically on their hands and knees virtually begging the graduates there to come and work for their
Access Two Steps from Hell directly from You Tube. You will get a much better hearing of the music.
The devs have been working very hard to stabilize the game and it is much more stable now, although at the cost of taking some stuff out, but they also added a number of improvements, such as a global mana pool. The game is at ver 1.19g now. Ver 1.2 is scheduled to be released on March 22, I believe the game should finally be pretty stable then. I would wait until then to give it another try.
Two Steps from Hell is a movie production company that does pretty much most of the music for movie and game trailers. In case anyone on the forum likes epic orchestrations and stirring voice choralls, check them out on you tube. I think you will be impressed. Heart of Courage is one of the finest pieces of epic music that I have ever heard.
Twist the mouse around while holding the scroll wheel down, that should work.
Ha, ha. Looking forward to watching the moon tonight. Incidently, Sailor Moon is an aliteration of "Suharu Mun" which means "Universal Soldier" in Japanese.
Ooops! Double post.
Yes, I forgot about that! Nevertheless, they were small, but mighty. As a kid, I remember reading that during the first crusade, the men at arms stood in the desert for almost 9 hours in 130 degree heat in iron armour while fighting off wave after wave of arab cavalry and emerged victorious. The way I think of it, a Doberman Pincer only weighs ninety pounds, but I wouldn't want to mess with one. There was also a French countess who would bath in the local river in the middle of wint
Same here. I have often wondered what medieval people would think of our modern civilization. I bet they would be very impressed with our social and technical advances, but would be rather appalled by what they would perceive as our total lack of physical activity. I think part of the appeal has to do with the idea of actually doing physical stuff on a day to day basis, although as a 5'7" wimp I would probably not have a great time unless I was born to royalty - ha! fat chance.
Harbours allow you to train and deploy a boat. With the new maps with ver 1.19f, I have found boats to be somewhat useful for scouting/ colonization. A harbour will also allow you to build a fish market - provided you downloaded the mod, of course - that will give you food resources even if your town doesn't have a farm. To Kapeman, try deleting the "fish market" mod and then reinstall it. I had the same problem and got it to work after I did that. I think it happens sometimes when you downlo
The spell that Sethai mentions is called 'erosion', which is a level 3 spell. In order for the harbour to be built, the harbour needs to connect between the city and water so there needs to be one tile (or slightly less) between the city and the water. If the tile is not a sandy beach but a cliff, the erosion spell will turn the cliff into beach. Building a harbour is a little quirky so ypu need to be careful about placement and make sure the harbour icon is aligned properly before you r
Base map movement increases. It would be great if that also applies to boats as well. It would make the boats viable for exploration\colonization.
It's not yet clear, but can one assume then that the oldest kid gets the crown and would, if married, automatically ally with the faction they were married to?
I have had this problem as well. I resolved it by selecting the auto resolve combat icon, but, of course, that's not an ideal solution.
Most of the news we get these days is cut and pasted from press releases with no followup and no real analysis. It's cheap and easy. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Remember the silliness regarding a so-called breakthrough in British science regarding chocolate that induced orgasms - yeah, right.
I heartily endorse Kapeman's wish list and would also like to see melee fighters placed first on the combat screen ahead of ranged attackers. That would also greatly improve the game.
Mandragoran's advice is excellent and will be very helpful to you. In addition, I have found that Murteas's magic mod is very helpful as it gives your sovereign a decent weapon and a ranged attack which can whittle down those early monsters. Also when your first settlement levels up, take the choice of a random guardian unit which you can take with you to absorb some of the damage while you cast magic arrow. Murteas's mod also has a guardian unit spell that you can cast on your settlemen
