Cool man! I'm still waiting on mine, I pre-ordered from Stardock. :D
Tiberonmagnus
I was thinking the same thing a while back, for some reason I assumed there was going to be rain in the game. Cloud cover would be a nice feature, and sometimes the occasional storm cloud flying overhead with it's thunder and rain.
I'm looking forward to a new and refreshing gameplay experience. A game, that isn't like the 10,001 other mainstream games out there. :)

I know realistically, we won't see it before late Sunday (prove me wrong!!). However once I resign myself to that fact and stop checking, I have a feeling I'll come back Sunday night to find out it was released earlier.
After seeing what the Blizzard guys went through, I think we're pretty prepared for anything. I mean, Starcraft II, IMO, is about as perfect of a release you can get. I.e. unlimited budget, unlimited time to do exactly what they want with the result being an outstanding game. I'm not even sure how I'd improve on Starcraft 2. By contrast, I have a list a mile long on things I want to add to Elemental over the n
Despite all of that, I predict that the AI will still kick my butt. I love strategy games, but I'm not very good at them.
I'm unfortunately really good at strategy games, and it makes me wonder if I was a Napoleon or Alexander in my past life. The only strategy game to really make it tough for me was an old school Civilization game cranked up to a very hard difficulty. The next one would be either the original Shogun Tot

I would love for pregnant women to have to be kept safe during their pregnancy (it would be like a mini-game of sorts). Omg no mini games. Throwing in mini games to add "depth" to games does not. Mini games are arbitrary, repetitious, and time consumin
I pre-ordered (download + box) but I haven't seen any options to download the game yet when I logged into Impulse, not even for an update. Perhaps it's just for beta people?
I'm not sure if this is addressed to Frogboy, but..
Edit3: Brad, can you make double-clicking a unit default to bringing up it's details? (same as click on it's picture after you've selected the unit on the map). I keep double clicking on a unit expecting it to "open" it, like double clicking on a windows folder or some such. And "Esc" to dismiss the modal dialog that contains the unit details.
If so, does that mean that it's ready for download soon for the
1. He is not defending his towns as effectively as he should. 2. He is not good enough at choosing what types of units to build and choosing the right quantity These two things make the AI very problematic. It's something I am going to be addressing more this weekend. In the long run, it'll probably take about a year or two for me to be truly happy with the AI though.
Great read!</p
In a fashion, the later RTK games looked like this in style, at least on the map. I liked the style, it feels very regal and different. Besides, the style makes the game timeless in the sense that the graphics won't get out of date.
Quoting Tiberonmagnus, reply 19There is a large rumor they are making CK2 right now. Well they have an official facebook page on it and some silly thing about announcing CK2 if they get 25k accounts on it, barely over 5k though. If they do CK2, and I hope they do, I want them to trash most of the CK code. That's been their excuse the whole time with the issues with CK, that it wasn't their code and they can only do so much wit
A very unqiue and fun game, hopefully CK2 will be cleaner though.
I've always liked that game, it's like playing chess but with people and families, as well as armies.
What the title says! It was just announced a couple hours ago, they have the box art already up. http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=493932
How did the continuous turn system work? Was it like Dominions 3 where you just set up everyone to do their thing and then have them fight while you watch?
It looks like a great deal!
Great write-up! It was a good read!
That would be great!

Watched it a bit earlier, nice stuff!
I'm waiting for the finished game before I consider if or when I'll be modding something. Even after I get the game I'll spend probably a lot of time playing it to get the general understanding of the mechanics, and while doing so playing around with the mod tools.
I like Paradox, but HOI3 was a bad and bug ridden game for me, and the AI did very bizarre things such as defenders leaving entire fronts open for the invader to conquer, and stacking of units in strange and pointless locations (jokingly, people would say they are just on vacation). Gladly, I only bought it for $7 (sale) a while back. I love EU3: HttT and CK. There is a large rumor they are making CK2 right now. I've been reading on the Paradox forums about Vicky 2, and there are prob

Kingdom A was ruled by Person. Person had a kid, Kid. Person died, and instead of Kid taking over, Angry Uncle Who Wants to be King takes over. AUWWtbK tries to kill Kid, Kid flees to your nation. And then Kid says, "Hey, ! Ya know how you used to be friends with my dad, Person? He's
It's looking great!! Can't wait to play it!
I would add to this...the nobility thing, at least. The system itself I love, especially if it happens to include Tiberon's latest idea, that of having noble lines. I'd love it, personally, if the nobles acted like nobles. That is...they aren't just champions with fancy titles. They actually had comments on stuff that happens, and - if they thought you were doing a crappy job - would say so. And perhaps even try to usurp the title of Sov
