Saw it right when I got home. Downloading! :)

Congrats! Can't wait to see what is to come for Elemental! :)
Welcome Dave! :)
Items generator is 1 thing Diablo 2 got right I think. Learn and improve, this method is a certain way to get people addicted. Grand Scale Item Generator has my vote 2x.
That's true about Diablo, I'm hoping at some point they have something like this in the game.
Actually many Monster descriptions include "valuable trophies" so these could tied into that. It would also give you a good cause for hu
I'm happy with the news, and I'm glad that there are even more people behind Elemental to make it even better.
I'm undecided on the question of succession. On the one hand it gives a very cool use to the dynasty system. On the other it changes the focus of the game from the sovereign to the empire. We are talking "psychology of gaming" stuff here (attachment and agency) but I tend to think that although I like the idea of succession, it robs Elemental of one of the things that makes it unique. Unlike other games Elemental isn't
Can't wait to hear the news, and happy new years! :)
I agree, they don't have to provide a bunch of different options, just enough to give it some mixture. When I mentioned shoulder pads in relation to WoW/Warhammer, I wasn't really talking about the abnormal sizes, but rather the options to make characters look different (spikes, single shoulder, etc). :)
Thats a good point about the Resources, but I disagree with the armor, I think unique armor looks would make a very dramatic difference in the feel of the factions and would be well worth the effort. Its that kind of details and polish that the game is really ion need of to make it feel like a dynamic, exciting, and living fantasy world.
Since we're usually looking at the characters from the top down or from a diagonal view,
I can't wait to hear the news either :D
I've always been an advocate of this. I think that "champions" should be buffing units (ie, 20 STR Champion gives +5% dmg, etc). The "adventures" could be epic sized instead, go destroy the black dragon in the farm fields because it's killing my cows, etc. If they want solo adventures, you can bring your legions of soldiers and your handful of champions, but there can be a little note on the adventure screen stating that "Your army would not fit in the dungeon, you can only bring your
I've steamrolled quite a few myself, and I'll share my thoughts on the matter. You are allowed to build up too much without harassment. I can literally turtle myself during what I like to call.. "The Closed Building Stage" and then commence with the "War Machine Stage" with my super-powered economy. At that point, I build up large armies of armor-clad juggernauts, and it's basically just a slaughterfest from then on. Coding the AI to battle the human brain will be very tough,
What colors do you think the item levels should be?
I still think there should be an option upon game creation to have it so that if your sovereign dies, that your 'heir' takes over. Therefore if people want that aspect, they can, if not, don't turn it on. :)
Daring strike children are offspring that are overpowered with some bug that gives them the daring strike ability on every strike instead of on 3% of them. Children are fairly bugged at this point. They are also getting mana and health every turn, even though I think Derek took the mana per turn ability out of the xml, we are still getting the meaningless bonus. I would say the end of December would be a good time to release based on the
I'm having a pioneer problem too with at least one of the AI's. Their cities were undefended, and they had huge stacks of pioneers. :)
I've never had that happen in any of my games, yet. :D
It's turning out to be quite a gem, I was playing for several hours today and had a good time :)
An item generator that is reasonably included in the game, like an in-game "forge", is on my top wish list for this game. Possibly Random, awesome weapons and armor. Great Diversity for Great Justice! The point of the forge would be that you have to spend a lot of resources on it to gain something unique. The point of questing is those rewards are "free" in the sense that they have a different cost (time, effort).
I agr
The only CTD I've had is when I backed out of a game into the menu and clicked on the custom faction button. But, I loaded the game back up and it worked fine. In the game I haven't crashed yet (and I normally do).. I've been played for a few hours straight without a problem. Although, my dynasty screen was messed up, it appeared to be stacking all my heir baby icons on top of my sovereign's, and also that they were like 24+ years of age and I still didn't see them on the map, and the
I've been playing Elemental a lot of today, and I can tell that it's turning into quite a gem! I appreciate all the hard work the Stardock team is doing! Also, very nice artwork! I like the style of it. :D
I'd like to see it in the adventure techs, it makes sense too. The higher the tech level, the better the loot (or at least more of a chance for better loot). I agree it would be nice, although rare, to see these items in shops for sale. This way it's also a money sink, people who are stinking rich could shovel some of their money into buying better gear. I wonder why Stardock wouldn't like this? Or perhaps they do and it's just not in there yet.
Do you think that Elemental would benefit from randomly created items and weapons? For example, like how Diablo has prefixes and suffixes for their items and weapons? For those that don't know what I'm talking about. Prefix Longsword Suffix ----> Holy Longsword of Divinity For example's sake, I'll just post the links to the Diablo wiki. <a href="http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/P
1. Have the oldest child that is playable become the heir.
I've been wanting this as an option for a long time now, and this also applies to your own sovereign if he/she should die, which also would make your heirs all the more valuable since they would be deemed as "extra lives", so to speak.
Looks like it was fun! :D
