A $10 drink with a $15 dollar surcharge for an educated bartender, attractive waitress and dress code. Andy "Hot Rod" Samberg unfortunately did not make the drink.

Diablo 3's story is fine. If you're looking for a story read a book or watch a movie. If it took me 40 hours to read a book just to finish one story I would never read again. Video games have pedantic stories where the "gameplay" in between serves only to dilute the impact of the narrative, people give them more credit than they deserve. The AH is a great side game in Diablo 3. If you don't feel like putting in the time to grind for gear, someone has and there is affordabl
I second the FPS drop. It is significant and stops me from playing the game. Maybe 30 or so turns in. It is a problem for me which had plagued my laptop since War of Magic. Othello
I have a level 60 Wizard, 50 Monk, 20 Demon Hunter and 20 Witch Doctor. The thing is levels 1-59 don't matter. Sure they warm you up to the game but after getting 1 class to 60 you want to jump right into the other classes without the 40+ hour grind to inferno (the hardest difficulty). It's hard for me to say Diablo 3 is a bad game. With nearly 100 hours of gametime so far, I've gotten my worth out of my purchase. And I really enjoyed the time I put in. There are a
I feel the brevity of The Act kept it in my good graces. I was too young to get swept up in Dragon's Lair when it came out, my first play-through was on the iPhone and I was disappointed. The Act came out and it was everything I wanted Dragon's Lair to be. Othello
There are a bunch of Final Fantasy games on the iPhone, including 3 or 4 only on the iPhone. If you're into shmups you can't get better than Cave games. They are worth the premium price. I suggest Bug Princess 2, but they are all good. Great Big War Game is my turn based strategy game of choice at the moment. It has multiplayer, I haven't tried it but it's there. Carcassonne, based off the board-game, has been on my phone since the initial download over

I've seen fake Renoir's go for thousands, I've seen a pristine 500 piece Waterford Crystal set go for $50, books and book collections often come up and I doubt half of them have their first pages read. A great aspect of the
Online diagnostics tests say my computer will run the game. I have been fooled into purchasing games based on passing diagnostics before only to have my laptop not cut it with the real thing. Guild Wars 2 seems really appealing, is there a demo so I can check if my computer will hack it? Othello
I've found reading an e-book on anything other than e-ink an unpleasant experience. If you read to settle down for the night you may be interested in exploring the new studies which say using smart phones or tablets may lead to insomnia. Othello
There's a documentary about Lenny Bruce that's recently shown up on Netflix. Mr. Bruce is being introduced by a straight laced talk show host who, essentially, says that no matter what you say or do you'll be offending someone. It seemed akin to John Denver supporting musicians whose albums were under scrutiny for containing mature content. The only way to avoid being the focus of public discourse would be to stay off the radar. But I'm guessing anyone who has
I've been running diligently through the dojo command training. Capcom fighters have been my go-to. Now that I've signed up for PSN+ I don't have the miniscule patience required to insert my SSF4:AE disc, such a chore. All my PS3 gaming, and I hope gaming overall, will be digital. I look at the pile of game cases in my basement with disdain. I digress: If anyone wants tell me why I suck, pm me for my PSN account name. Or i you feel like an ego boost, pm for my acco
There's a Game of Thrones mod for Crusader Kings 2. I hear it's comprehensive and pretty good. http://citadel.prophpbb.com/topic1282.html If it's anything up to the quality of Crusader Kings 2, then free up a weekend or two. Othello
Heard about this a week or so ago. That was a very unprofessional way to leave a job. I hope she left to marry a doctor, it will be hard for her to find gainful employment at any reputable business. Othello
Counter Strike: Global Offensive came out for the PS3 today. The more expansions coming out for Battlefield 3 the more dust it gathers, so I've decided to give CS:GO a shot. If I have any fellow tacticians around wanting to join the squad let me know. Initial reactions: There won't be mods on the PS3 & XBOX version, so which platform to purchase it on is moot if your computer can handle it. Years have passed since I last played Counter Strike: Source. If you dive d
So my second generation Kindle broke last month. Going to turn it on I see this diagonal dark grey line on what should be a blank screen. After an hour or so of soft and hard resets, after button combinations, internet scouring and smashing it on a table, I admitted and accepted that my Kindle, which has been there for years, is no more. It had always been a love hate relationship, providing me with a deluge of free content from manybooks.net and the Gutenberg Project, exposing me to authors
It was the impetus for me patronizing an abhorred place. A company that humanizes itself, such as Stardock or Steam, will find me returning. That GameStop was obstinate to reason, they will find me at the Rialto of Amazon. Othello
In an attempt to smooth talk and make the faceless drone who replies to customer service emails at GameStop feel worthwhile I wrote a polite email which started, "I have always supported brick and mortar businesses because they give jobs to locals as well as people such as yourself." I don't often go to GameStop, I have always left there feeling bad. Maybe it's the old dirty plastic and piled up price stickers everywhere, maybe it's the disingenuous employee who tries to c

DLC for Crusader Kings 2 for $5 & Galactic Civilizations II : Ultimate Edition for $5 Whats interesting is that with how frequent the huge steam sales come and now that its been a few years since the start, I don't feel compelled to lay my money down. I'm sure the fact that I'm still chugging through games purchased from sales years ago has something to do with it. I've put in just under 2 hours with Galactic Civ 2. Around 20 minutes in
