I started an online game with me vs. and AI. There were three "adventurers" around me. I hired 2. Trying to move the first for the first time one diagonal square away and he zoomed across 10+ squares to settle on an area i hadn't even discovered yet. I thought it was a fluke until the same thing happened the first move of the second adventurer i hired. -Othello windows vista 32 2 ghz core 2 duo 2 GB RAM Nvidia 8600mGT

I had just started a new game. Moved around and recruited a guy who would give me 2 guildar per turn. Created my first city, it had a custom name. The screen started flickering white, black, the characters became transparent then the screen went black and I received "DX Error: Invalid Call" Windows Vista 32 dual core 2 ghz 2GB RAM 8600mGT -Othello

I you leave the troop build menu up while waiting for resources to acquire, when the needed amount is gathered you have to close the menu and reopen to build the troop. It does not automatically update to allow building while open. -Othello

I preordered a few weeks ago, it just showed up on impulse a few minutes ago. no beta code required. -Othello
Quoting Grove12345, reply 40good to hear. so the stack thing again.. if i have archers in my army with my foot soldiers. Does that mean my archers will shoot first b4 my infantry is engaged or does it just combine attack points? I guess if its supposed to turn into a turn based strategy battle it means each unit will fight individualy, archers and spellcasters can usually hit first due to range weap
Well, the sale is over. Think a few people talked about that.
And the Chipotle barbicoa burrito I bought instead of SupCom2 was very satisfying. -Othello

I understand as more of the map is discovered and the AI's moves are revealed the each turn will take longer, but it seems 5-7 seconds is what it takes between pressing "end turn" and when something happens near the end. And then it seems the units take significantly longer and longer to actually move. I'm wondering if it's a problem with DOSbox or a memory leak or something. -Othello

I recently bought Master of Magic off gog. In the beginning the game runs very fast. Near the end turns become achingly slow. Has anyone else experienced this? Were you able to fix it? Does this happen in Master of Orion 2? -Othello

Thanks everyone. I wish I could give you all karma. It doesn't sound like multiplayer is anything to brag about. I'm going out to buy a Chipotle burrito and maybe Masters of Orion 2 with the money I'd use to buy SupCom2; while I get my multiplayer fix with adding another 20 hours of playtime in Warhammer 40K DOW2. -Othello

Supreme Commander 2 is $10.99 on Steams weekend deal. I've played and enjoyed Warhammer 40k DOW2, Demigod and Company of Hero's online. I'd pick up Starcraft 2 but it sounds the beta is almost closed and I would want my multiplayer fix today and next week in addition to when it comes out. I have no intention to play the campaign. Is Supreme Commander 2's multiplayer worth $10.99? And keep in mind I would never play SC1 online for the same reason I wont play SoaSE online, I don

It looks more pleasing with continuity. Although I do prefer the colors mirrored :) (look past the terrible "paint" job) -Othello

The kindle mimics a page out of a real book. The iPad eBook reader is like reading while staring at a light bulb. I'm sure it's easier writing an email on the iPad but for reading at length you can only beat a kindle/nook with a real book.

I preordered Elemental after beta 1z closed. I was hoping to send up some NPC's to get in the retail release. Will they still be accepted during beta 2+ for inclusion? - Othello

You know, all over these forums it's Master of Magic this and Master of Magic that. I thought, psshh, looks stupid to me. But last night I said, "what the hell, Ill pick it up anyway." I had no morning after regrets. [e digicons]:D[/e] Great game, I see what all the talk was about. Vista 64 here. Runs great! -Othello

SoaSE was the first game in a long time I just took a chance on. Riding Sins high, i took a chance on Demigod . It took a lot to take a chance again but just recently, Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West . It's a western third person shooter that recently came out on steam. I love the setting, the level design is top notch and the action is perfectly paced. Multiplayer western shooter, it's been to long since Outlaws, but the

Distract the enemy with the spy. Sneak your green beret to plant the decoy. Use the trapper to deploy a bear trap. Sneak back and let the drama unfold just in time for your sapper to blow up the fortification. Commandos 1 and 2 were great!

Disciples 2:Gold is on Good Old Games (gog.com) for something like $10. It's DRM free, completely. I picked it up on sale a few weeks ago for $5 and have enjoyed it very much. Only one unit (one of the "heroes") will go from map to map (in the story mode) but each unit built will, and needs to be, leveled up per map. There alot to it. Unit pairing, time management, do you hire a new hero or buy potions etc etc. On top of that, it's a beautifully drawn isometric 2-d world, 3-d battle u

I have no problem with not having tangible video game material. Not having to worry about upgrading computer components would even be better. Nothing is lost in the transmission. Movies take a dive in quality and so does music, so that's a no go. The kindle is great for public domain books, but I'll spring the extra $2 for the hard copy of copyrighted material. Video games are the sole acception. In the end, it's all buisness, if it doesn't sell it wont continue. If it does, even if i
