perhaps a different take on the defeated sov/champs penalties be, WHILE they are recovering in the town then that town gets a penalty to unrest/growth as that is the nearest location to what defeated them in the first place. harpo

and a bit further on the deorcynsse wildlands not clearing, started a new game in 1.3beta with my usul custom sov & race on wildlands map, when I had got to the location od deorcynsse it had been captured by magna, BUT the shroud wildland had not cleared and over 100 turns later I wnet back to check, and STILL the wildlands had not cleared, and was still

[/quote]do you have theshow tile yeilds option ON?, the trick to clear imperium is to take a settler to the time between the bees & metal and settle a town, and the 5 tile gap is the minimum distance , so I would also suggest moving the yastiama town a couple of squares to the right.

every time I had captured deorcnysee but NOT cleared the wildlands (and eve by the ai's) was able to buld, train troops AND grow the town(that had started at level 15 btw), so I HOPE they CAN fix the non clearing shroud issue. harpo

frog, as a minor aside, in my personal network of systems, I have FOUR(classed as primary gaming) quad core or quadcore/hyperthreading(speeds are 2ghz,4ghz,4ghz,3.4ghz) with 8gb or more ram and 64 bit OS(vista,w7,w7,w7), the 3 dual cores are mostly for mundane stuff like websurf/download/email/ fileserving/evaluation(and classed as seconadary game capable) and field use, and the remaining comps are singlecore for legacy support/testing of old programs(legacy(pre2k) gaming only). harpo

I agree that the AI NEEDS to look at if the target for spells/abilities are imune or resistant, then do NOT use spell/ability, example if this is a tac battle I had earlier today in my levino machine (w7x86 4gb intel integrated video) where I had put boosts/defensive spells on my units against a obsidian golem, my side was a sword hero, and a mirror elemental with my sov that was armed with a crude bow and attack boosting accessories (each arrow was getting between 4 & 12 damage on the go

frogboy, would it be possible for the pioneers/ no weapon units(eg escorted girls) to be moved to the back row in tactical combat? as in a archer/ranged heavy army the pioneers get put in the front row, and then the pioneer is the weakest unit, which means the opponents make a beeline for the pioneer and attack to kill it while the archer/ranged units are building up their initive to kill the opponents, and it really pisses me off every time a pioneer in my SOD gets killed. harpo
