derek, the AVAILABLE ram on the computer was over 1gb, and yes the 7600 was also problematic back in the beta3, I do have other programs running in the background, including a old noroton systemworks withPM free displayed, along with task manager so that I can see the ram use, and elemental was the largest ram user(sorted by ram used in task manager) harpo

it did not help my OOM issues, as it still ooms about turn 250-260, BUT the elemental ram use HAS dropped at OOM to LESS than 1gb. harpo

search for LAA, the post is a few months old, and when used it does allow elemental to run until it has approx 3g-3.2gb ram used before it dumps and a link to a laa tool is in reply 186 in this thread hope this helps harpo

riley-kadin, the way I read this error message is that you are missing the file 'microsoft.vc80.crt' which (from memory it is part of the dotnet 3.5), but you might need to get the dotnet 4.0 to sort it out. I had also seen this during one of the patches of sins of a solar empire, and it took the dotnet 4.0 to fix it for me harpo

I prefer 128x128 large or larger and like 256x256, but as mentione byother posters the memory leak issue is MURDER, and I routinly get ooms and post them with the dxdiags and saves while testing on both 32bit & 64bit windows with each gpu manufacturer, but 64 bit with ati leak the most, but laa does help on 64 bit windows harpo
