I would also read any sticky or even in the devs area such a thread, as it would save ME some time posting and replying on threads with similar issues that I am having(simple concentration of information) and might even help the devs when checking for bugs as there would be an idea of the issues that they NEED to look at. harpo
I have had one of the tac battle freezes in 1.2 and it cost me the game as my sov was battleing and had 34 combat speed with enough attack to at most two shot most units(even chances of singleshoting the units) and the fourth action of mine in the battle and could not attack ANY unit as it did not respond, and the ONLY thing that still worked was the autoresolve( which DOES NOT count the combat speed OR RANGE/distance between units so all units can even when armed with a DAGGER/sword/ha
back before the last beta, if I remember correctly, the shards DID get the exclamation mark, and they lost it during the beta to 1.2. harpo

panda, are you playing on a map that has 10 or more starting points?. from what you describe I suspect the map you are playing on has only nine starts. all of my test playing is on my own elementerra generated maps and I specify 15 to 25 starts on each of the maps, and I use a custom faction and am able to have the ten standard factions as opponents harpo
humility, you will have to cast a lot of spells, magic, and posses a lot of arcane items to do what you want, while editing the english.str, but that will not effect any of the images of idols that are in the game, only the (forbidden) texts. and an alternate method that might be easier and simpler would be to ask your hosts how does TV work, then when they have explained it ask them to point out the "tv or radio waves" and the 'electricity' and when they can not ask them how
I have been noticing this effect since about 1.19d, and it is definately getting WORSE, it used to only effect the notables, now it is infecting autodesigned units, not even my custom designed units have been spared, about the ONLY units that have not had the issue to date are the peasants and settlers, all other units get this issue in my experience, and hopefully the peasants and settlers WILL NOT get infected. harpo

and just last night one of the kids(battle rating only 320) had a battle against 94 single troops(city battle rating was approx 700), NOT EVEN A SINGLE party or squad or even a company, and as usual it was as a kingdom in empire turf with a fortified city, the kid was armed with a cedar long bow, master heavy plate helm,armlets,thighguards and curriass and all available magical accessories, and wiped out the entire city defences in only eight turns (for for the defenders and four for me, the

phylast57, the zip location for the crashes AND the dmp file is (in xp) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Elemental - War of Magic my guess for vshita & win7 would be c:\progdata\application data\stardock\elemental - war of magic and the other wanted files are in the \my docs\my games\elemental folder, ie the debug.err, the save folder(which holds ALL the saves), the mods, the screenshots, etc. harpo
had updated to 1.19n, deleted save folder, then started a new game on my usual test map(size 10 x 8 20 starts created in terragen2 has 3 continents and 3 shard islands and a total of 12 shards) custom sov & faction played to turn 314 had application crash unable to read memory crash zip was created, added dxdiag & saves
and similar creatures should move similarly to those they are similar to, eg most four legged animals will collapse in a similar way, but there are different ways of running with the main differences being foot type(eg horse/zebra vs camel), spine type(eg horse vs cheetah), mass(eg springbok vs elephant) and leg length(eg giraffe vs bear) harpo
try moving the map xml file(s) to the docs/games/elemental/maps folder. harpo
I am having this issue approx every 5 - 10 tac battles. bloody autoresolve LOVES to waste mana and also assumes that ALL units only have two moves per turn, so ignores the effects of my speedrings that boost tac battle speed only. harpo

those young dragons are soft, I have a pair of young dragons with health over 1100 EACH (admittedly level 14 and they have half the hitpoints of their health, due to fast leveling up(killing 5-6 monsters & ruffians armies(each army iranges between 1 darkling and 1 elemental lord and 11 elementals/huge spiders) PER turn), and these young dragons are only about 30 turns old. harpo
I also have had the continious fire from young dragons with just clicking on the young dragon, then left clicking on the fire breath attack button, then left clicking on the enemy that I want to incinerate, and had the fire breath last for the ENTIRE battle even after the dragon has recharged its burner and fired for a second time. and I rarely use spells in battles as my fully geared hero's can shred any force under 3000 attack strength EACH per battle turn with arrows( adm
