I have a dual monitor setup with no issues in full screen or windowed mode. I am running an ATI card though, so that might be a factor? I am also running Win 7 64. I just re-read your post and see that you are mirroring your displays. I have mine spanned. Is there any difference if you try to run it in spanned mode?

I was using the default opponents, I think there's usually 3 opponents by default. I think this is related to my other sudden conquest victory bugs because the same message appears in the debug.err file the turn previous to the victory turn: Debug Message: WARNING: Unit Troll is owned by a player but has no sovereign, , so it gets no experience. I think this points to something different than a coincidental defeat of all computer opponents in one turn.

Okay, this just happened to me again. This time the number of cities in the world went from 8 to my 5 (another change of 3 cities) and the number of units in the world went unchanged at 128. One thing in common between the last game and this game is this debug message on the second to last turn: Debug Message: WARNING: Unit Troll is owned by a player but has no sovereign, , so it gets no experience. Could be another coincidence. Full debug.err: <

I suppose that is possible, but it seems odd for the number of cities in the world to drop by 3 in one turn. Also, I noticed that the number of units in the world stayed the same at 64 between those turns. I don't know if those AI opponents factor into that number but it seems like a strange occurrence to me.

What are the conditions for a conquest victory? I just had another unexpected one. I had a game where I had just built my fourth city and was moving right along the research tree. I started the next turn and came up with a conquest victory. Checking the debug.err file, I noticed that on turn 134 (the last turn) there were only four cities, my four. the turn previous to that there were seven cities in the world. I suppose it could be a coincidence that the o

Just started a new game next to a green shard and a goodie pouch. Grabbed the pouch which was a magical book of strength. Clicked on the end turn button and was greeted with the "Victory/Conquest" screen. debug.err: http://pastebin.com/kFdS0pVY

I installed this last night with no real time to play. I fired it up and created a new game just to see what it looked like. I quit as soon as I got to the cloth map. I realized then that I hadn't configured Impulse to install to my e: drive (my preferred location for installed programs) so I reconfigured it and uninstalled and re-installed the game, without trying to restart it. Tonight I fired it up and was greeted with blank menus. http://screencast.com/t/Nz
