[Bug/Interface] Menu button text missing after re-install

I installed this last night with no real time to play. I fired it up and created a new game just to see what it looked like. I quit as soon as I got to the cloth map. I realized then that I hadn't configured Impulse to install to my e: drive (my preferred location for installed programs) so I reconfigured it and uninstalled and re-installed the game, without trying to restart it. Tonight I fired it up and was greeted with blank menus.

I tried updating my graphics card to the latest ATI drivers but got the same result.
