I would also like a 'training level' for creating units.
SnallTrippin
I also hate alignment as I can be good about some things and evil about others. Instead of alingments competing goals for each faction, other than just conquer everything, would be cool.
There are SOME fantasy/sword type strategy-ish games that let you create units by giving them armor/weapons, but those games are mostly bad so not many people know about it.
Yeah, I haven't found any good over-air services for someone with..heavy usage. Heh.
I was hoping this was posted by a beautiful woman...thanks a lot Frog!
...spiders..why spiders...gah

Pre-ordered a few days ago, even though I am very, very, very poor.
xianqi2: It would seem they could easily have such options during random world creation, but easily modded otherwise.
Ever played dominions? Maybe you should people. But I never bring out my channel/god type unit till it's very well enchanted/protected, etc..except in begining of game maybe when he's untouchable.

Landisaurus, yeah but you can hate someone, and distrust them..but if they're hugely more POWERFUL. Fear is a greater motivator.
Um, I had an 8800GTX man, the 285 GTX is bigger. 8800GTX was fine, the 285 blocks 4 sata ports on my mobo. Much bigger.

Heck, I always focus on the weakest first...it's just bad when it's a player, though I think most AIs have a tendancy to attack the player more than another AI.
I have an evga 285 GTX. Love it, runs cool too, also Evga gives LIFETIME warranties. BUT it is HUGE. So look to where you gpu slot is on the mobo as it might block stuff...I mean, HUGE.
Nice idea but probably very complex to program and have it work at all well. Also I'd go with only two, fear-dismiss and love-hate, for power/friendship workings.
Your logic is flawed. First of all magic is very rare, as are people who can do it (IE our avatar in game). So technolgoy would still progress, indeed the 'wizards' themselves would want new stuff invented so they could concentrate more of their power in other ways. 50 easily trained musket-using soldiers are cheaper and easier to train than 50 longbowmen. Also magic would still be so all-powerful that the 'wizard' types wouldn't really be frightened o
Well, like I said I'm just using my own logic and happy thoughts of a few cannon and riflemen against a dragon..I see your point of course, god bless modding.
Good concept. I agree.
Now I know basically anything will be able to be modded in but I think the original cannon should include...well, cannons and such. That is as magic research and spells should (and almost certanily will) reach the plateau that is hugely powerful so should the mundane tech tree. If a game lasts a few hundred years, or longer, we should see muskets, cannons, etc is my basic point. I guess this would make the game sort of steam-punk-ish but the logic is there. And
In the other thread Zoomba said it won't be out for some time after PAX, maybe end of Sept?, hopefully before that though.
I believe he meant play with LARGE numbers of people, most (99.9%) of connections should be good for 1v1 with all right latency between the host and player.
