Update, Windows 8 just sent me an email to show me some tutorials and stuff. They are actually pretty informative.

Just make two entries for the thing you want. For instance, If I want a shadow warg to also be summoned by my Path of the Conjurer. I would make a second spell for the conjurer with a the appropriate pereq. This is the only current way to have an OR for things. It's not pretty, but you can do it. But at that point I realized that it would be better to have one of the two spells do something a little different to make each one feel unique.
Well, the devs are very good about not speculating. They will almost certainly not comment at all on modding issues until they are certain one way or the other. But knowing a little more than the average user, I can guess pretty well what is happening on their side. Sales were about par with what they wanted. Not a massive success right away, but the release was superb by the industry standards (it didn't cause mass riots and no one was killed). The word of mouth about the game will ramp
When are you going to break down and play my mod? All this vanilla stuff is going to stifle your skills.
You are going to love this map. Those Ophies are weak to blunt. My advice is to focus on throwing spearmen at those Ogres. You need to get rid of lairs that close.
They will get long term profits from the forced switch to 8. That is the business model. It probably has something to do with contracts they make with Microsoft or a basic understanding that all of their customers are eventually going to have Win8. So it would cost more to make two versions of the software.
Yes, old software might not be compatible. But in a few months new software will come out that is only compatible with Win8. That is the nature of their monopoly. That is why I didn't have a choice. I feel like an American during WWII. What Japanese internment camps? I don't see any... oh those ones. Well, I don't really have a choice do I? Nope, that a government thing. Thanks. I am going to start a new LP for the mod tomorrow when I get my new headset. The only drawback will be I don't have my usual music score to accompany me.
Adding new content is generally easy. It's when you want to change vanilla content that things get messy.
My mod is up on Nexus. @Giskarduk, You are not the type of troll that is just trolling, you are also a modder. Fair enough. But you did come to this site for the sole reason of trolling someone that has angered you in the past. I am one of the few who still practice the ancient art of vendetta. As a practitioner, I find your attacks inane and unfruitful. You do shame to the name of vengeance. And if you aren't modding for this game, you'll find no allies
For 50 Mana it's not totally OP. It's also a late game tech and anyone else can do it with a pioneer.
I might later on. But really you can just harvest the tiles file and add it to your sad easy less interesting game. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
Very excited for this to get to 1.0. This will hugely increase ease of use and probably incentive to use mods. Thanks for all your hard work!
It is only certain combinations of items on a unit that causes this lag in the animation. I can't quite nail it down, but I know Warboar Verga with full leather and a trog axe has about a 6 second delay. But since he kill all surrounding units, I figure it still saves time.
Okay, but the game could with some effort give out 8 extra tiles nearest to and connected to the city. Any way you go from changing what we have causes problems. That is why nothing has been done yet. One tile cities make the most logical sense, but destroy the beauty of cities. I think someone will eventually make a mod for that. I would like the devs to simply find a perfect solution that ha no drawbacks. If not that, leave it as is. It currently works just fine.
Version 1.02.016 is up. That means you can use it for 1.02. Changelog updated. I was planning on doing the fixes and content balances later, but I got carried up in the moment. Also, I made my nexus page for the mod. It's a very nice looking site. Almost enough to make this exercise in sadism look like a professional mod project.
Glary's Utilities has a decent registry fix module. Free software too!
The thing about Warlock is that it has a very short lifespan. It's fun, but has no staying power for most players. FE just started out and IMO should win GOTY just based on release. If you count the decades ahead, it is really no contest.
How would you teach the AI to make such a decision? It would be too complicated.
It would be 32 building slots from 8 tiles. I counted the cityhub since we see so many improvement that modify it. Also, you don't need to occupy a tile to build any given improvement. MA's entire city defense system is essentially invisible. So that makes the total possible improvements rather infinite. The only legitimate reason to add a tile to the strategic map is for user identification. Trying to make a metagame out of improvement placement will be disastrous for
This would be a nice feature. All heroes look the same in the end.
The thing about mine was that I had just spent an hour or so loving a movie only to be slapped in the face by a blue alien. It just set me off. [e digicons]#:([/e]
Someone is making MA compatible quests? Sweet! I have "redo every quest" on my list, but it is low priority. The vanilla ones are way too easy.
I agree. It should not be the case that you have to seriously game things to ensure survival, but that is what mods are for. Every time I see some BS mechanic or lair starting some shit, I delete it and restart the game. I am sure the devs do this to and it will eventually end up so that the vanilla game has very few of these situations. But that won't be soon. Instead of shelving the game and waiting till next year to see a better game balance, go mod crazy, or play on preset maps that a
I don't know. Maybe you just need to learn some stronger strategies. Most of the early game is about leveling your Sov. Without watching you play, I can only think that it is a combination of being new to the game and bad luck. I play on a difficulty that is known to cause ears to bleed and have few problems. It's mostly a matter of learning to deal with your environment.
