I think I'll give him a mount. Thanks. And I found a case error on the soul staff. Thanks. New version coming out today with minor fixes like that. Also adding some more late game events to spawn themed lairs. Spider invasion, darkling invasion etc... It should be some fun and prevent you from feeling like clearing out an area makes that area boring.

It would have to be a radius in front of the player. Firebreath is the closest we can get to a cone spell. That might actually be the right spell to copy.
I hear ya, been wanting proper sieges forever. Upping the strengrh of militia sounds like a pretty clear-cut case of balance changing though. I don't really want that for this mod. I don't want people playing it to have to relearn a bunch of mechanics. I want it to be the same game, just better diversity in factions and more content.
I don't see how you can want that. The core game balance is so full of
Okay, but is it going to have a computer read it or an intern? I want to start some military comedy. It would be great free publicity to start out a few emails with bomb or death to America. Then I can put in some of my material and ask for feedback from the guys spying on me. I think I just took viral marketing to a whole new level. A national security level.
CoreSpells.xml Find Fireball and make copy of it. Change the names and values to your spell. Use your effect instead of the one there. It might take a few tries. Go ahead and post your XML here if you get stuck. I can help later today.
I am on the Nexus now. Also, in the FE Modding Forum, Master's Affliction.

To each their own. I really enjoyed it, but it was more from a technical standpoint. I can see how a casual viewer would find it off-putting. Pulp Fiction was well made but derivative as all hell. I honestly think Tarantino is the reincarnation of
Blizzard is the Fireball for water.
Ya, I have several random events that do that. Dark Invasion is a great example. A wizard from another realm sends 25 darkling shaman lairs into your realm. They are the scouting force for a much larger invasion. It basically spawns hundreds of units to reset the balance of power. While you are fighting those guys, you may be hit with the real invasion.
Yes For instance, all weapons stay useful throughout the game. The worst thing about tactical battles is that each new weapon is so superior in every way. In my mod, Werewindle and I have made sure each early game weapon stays useful. The result is that early game weapons have special abilities that make them competent for large units in big armies. And then there is the fact that I have about 20 D&D style classes instead of 3. Just ridiculous under-utilization of the me
Hey Zhuk, if you don't like the vanilla, my mod is most often better for you. Seems like when people find the vanilla boring, Master's Affliction is the cure. Just saying.
I remain optimistic. The reason modding has gotten no love in the past is due to lack of revenue. I guess we'll have to see come the beginning of next year. By that point it will be clear. I will say that I thought it was funny that Frogboy's focus on modding after release amounted to stickying a few posts. Not sure we got anything else. He kind of ignored us in favor of optimizing, which is fine.
Been upgrading groups since Beta .81.
On the bright side I needed to fix Embers to stack and I noticed it when I checked the spell.
There are still some reviewers you can trust. And there are some gamers you can trust. The problem is that the vast majority of both are not reliable. Let's Play and demos are the best way to know. If there is a gamer you particularly respect or a journalist, great. But that list is down to 6 for me in total.
I get my mic tomorrow. Why don't I put together a quick video of how stuff works for everyone. I want to do some let's play, but before I do, I will make a little tutorial. If you have questions, post them in that thread and I'll answer them tomorrow.
I could give monsters a spell that creates a lair. But I am not sure I would want to. Maybe for turn 500 trolls. I have been thinking about giving them some expansion capabilities.
I am deciding to look at it with a positive tone. For better or for worse, it's my new OS. I would have made such a great soviet citizen. [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e]
Nice to see Terrifying is working as intended. I don't want to give spoilers, but black widows are meant to be able to move. ):{
You save doesn't show up for me at the load game screen. Are you using 1.02?
Fixed Cave Bear. Also I like Dark Wizards as roamers. It makes the lore of Sovs wandering feel a little more common.
I actually just realized how the extra moves function works. I'll patch tomorrow with the correct +50% movement. It rounds that down, so at 2 moves you have 3. Need to get to 3 moves to have 4 and so on. For some reason I thought a value of 1.1 would be +10%, but it was actually +1.1%. You can guess how that did nothing.
Are those Cave Bears able to move? If so, it's a bug I need to fix.
Hahaha, terrible settlement placement up north. I actually set that up as a settlers trap. Looks like that Iron Mine to your East could foster a decent city though... [e digicons]}:)[/e]
I would also note that much of an Assassin's drawback is a lack of reliable damage. Warriors and Mages always have a bonus, where Assassins sometimes have a bonus. It's overall about equal, but less reliable. That matters quite a bit. And then again, the stacking of crit damage can get so insane, you just don't care if the first or third strike is the one that crits.
