You can have my ideas as long as you don't include my name anywhere in the credits. I am currently trying to erase myself.

I think it would be healthy to get a post clearly defining what the devs want from beta testers. Keeping the process useful to development was one of our biggest problems in WoM.
You are quickly becoming my go-to-guy for software.
Will you be getting FE for free?
This. Caster level is such a great way to scale power levels. I also hate that in WoM you have to have a super high intellect to cast any spell; and yet, you can be an effective warrior at low strength and no dexterity.
I could really just play Fallout NV for the rest of my RPGFPS life. I wouldn't spend more than 10 dollars on another shooter unless it really wowed me.
How about all units in forest tiles cannot be attacked? That would create a fun strategy for guerrilla warfare.
I agree that a late-stage beta is best for a large public beta. But you have to admit that there are alot of great ideas and general intellectual power on this forum. WoM is just not a great thing to compare this one to. It has a much larger workforce and huge budget. I think we are close to being useful in a bugsquashing fashion. I want the beta because it's that special kind of cancer that makes me feel warm and cozy (I think it's in my endocrine system). I really just want to see t
A long time ago. If you read the descriptions in the adventure tree it will tell you that each hero lore you research will spawn new heroes and higher level monsters. The total 5 levels are split by the total number of players in the game. So you may research 5 levels, only to get to monster level 2 and hero level 2. All players must advance this aspect of the game. It really needs to be like this so that no one player can force the others to deal with high level monsters. Also, make sure you
So the 1st class citizens will use it in a few years. Upper middle class in 5 years. Then it will trend. in 10 years the lower class will have some access, but they will have to take that margarita maker off of layaway at Walmart. So I have probably 15 years before I am totally out of the loop with computers. I can live with that. Guess I had better make today count.
But cities are ugly when they have several of the same building. Ever been to the Eastern Bloc? They call it that because the Soviet buildings make the cities look like one big block. No, what we need is the ability to upgrade a forge into a steel guild, into a steel district, into a Titan forge. It's simple and elegant. It would be even better if a level 2 city could get to level 4 of forge, assuming there will be instances where metal is located in barren land.
Updates are done. Won't get a 1.5 till long after FE is patched up, if ever. That said, just make your own map with choke points. Put a city at the choke point and never ever sign a treaty. Now you can build up in the area you have cut off. The AI will do so on the other side. Once you have influence over every tile in your space, you can sign treaties with your friendlies and war with your enemies. Giving the AI 500 turns is about right for having really fun wars. </p
Well, if the game is polished enough to be at demo level, what the hell is the point of a beta? Really don't like it when companies use the term beta when they mean publicity. I know Stardock would never do that. And BTW, I think FE has already surpassed WoM in every way imaginable. I would guess that right now they are just doing UI, dealing with multilayer compatibility, fixing memory leaks, and getting the AI up and running. The part where we become useful is almost here guys. </p
It has that...
How much of the adventure tree have you researched. That is how they spawn.
It would be really nice if a stat could boost the power of a spell and even increase resistance against certain spells. Is this something the new game can handle or am I wishing on deaf ears?
Betas don't need to be January 2012 polished. November would be better.
Do you have to be democratically elected in 2012? It has been so long since I have ruled by majority I don't think I would know how.
He later said that was just a show of the base for what we can expect to be much more varied. Pretty much just the old WoM spells rehashed. There may be some precedent for scaled summoning. I think the Elemental summons rise with shards. Can't be too hard make it inteligence for necromancy and the like. It would really be nice to have each summons have a unique tactic it can add to an army. Skeletons are immune to elemental magic for example. Zombies aren't, but they hav
Anyone here play Red Orchestra 2?
I would also recommend downloading the After the War mod that Heavenfall has made. It fixes alot of things that the devs didn't have time to get right. But play the vanilla first so you can see the difference. Tip: Get harvesting, then quests, then equipment, then leather armor from the tech trees. That should make you pretty well off for the beginning.
Oh my god! Don't play the campaign. I think you are the only one, seriously. This is a sandbox game. [e digicons]^_^'[/e]
He was a visionary not an idiot.
I know right. I have to go through every line to make sure we aren't modding the same thing. Then I have to rebalance everything to make it all work. I make less errors though when I start with a blank file and add each item myself and then check for duplicates with a search. If only I put this much effort into anything else on the planet, it would end the recession. [e digicons][/e]
Wow buddy. You wanted to go to a fileshare and upload the file. Then post the link. There is a howto in a thread called Posting bugs or some name. It should be stickied in this subforum.
