Maybe it can't be fixed...

GalCiv2 had such a wonderful ship editor. Wish that could translate to this game, but that one was only possible because ships are just blocks. Animations are probably too complex to make it work here. Wish it would though. HF, who did most of the work on the Expanded Factions races? Was that Raven X?
Hexerei Beschwörung und bezaubernd: A book of what we hope are imagined stories. These spells are hidden in riddles, you may not know what you are casting, until your entire capital is overrun with spirited mischief. Fortunately, you need only say the inscription on the back of the book to dispel whatever trouble you create. -Unersättliche Gier: When wo
A few of the modders have done some great things in this department. The game is set up to support anyone that wants to make their own skins and models. I think they probably made this part easy to do with other software rather than spend resources making a race creator themselves. That said, I would love it. I would think this to be the last mod tool they should consider making. We really need a quest creator first.
You must have missed it, but Derek said that spell list was not the end of spells. Those were just the spells that were already done for WoM, rehashed to be the base of the new game. They have mentioned several spells that are not on that list in the past few months.
Now that we know when the beta is, I will be waiting to see what the new game can do before I commit to making any spells. I am making the spellbooks though. I would probably use Rampant Lust in one of my more mischievous German spellbooks. I really hope we get a "target all allied heroes" type of system. That would really open up level 5 spellcasting.
You see the new Beta preview? No need for thread necromancy.
I too noticed an upgrade from cancer to "disease." Ooh I hope I get that leprosy that makes your skin look younger. Holy awesome game Batman! [e digicons][/e] Also, when is Thanksgiving?
Thanks for saving me the time of trying out TN. I will stick with Fringe and the good old series that I own.
I am about 2000 turns into a really good After the War game. The AI is actually working. Resoln is so powerful I may actually lose this one. They are sending wave after wave of soldiers against me and I am forced to use my level 10 heroes to hold out while I teleport shock troops behind their lines. I am saving up for a few volcanoes so I can close up the eastern pass and wipe out their cities in the north. All other factions are small and insignificant. This is the best game I have played of
I think it will probably be coming out right when I leave for Basic. I hope Aircraft Carriers have game time... I still play a few hours of WoM every night. It really is fun if you know what you are doing.
I think you should make Derek write the next one. We need you working on the AI. He is... expendable. [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]
This is the exact technology Mysterio was working before he went psychotic. I am glad someone is continuing his work.
I smell a spin-off of The Office here.
Yes. Capitalism is a system that includes consumers and producers. The systems I see in our world disappoint me. I agree with everything you said.
This will certainly give some character to spellcasting.
Some of us want to be dead. What with how popular they are nowadays. [e digicons]:moon:[/e]
Maybe there is no beta?
I like the high mana costs, but I also amped up the mana sources to give it a bit more balance. As to spells, could Murteas' Grimoire be what people are wanting? It add alot of good magic to the game. Even if you end up making your own, its a good place to start since the animations are there.
Thanks. I am trying to make the game more viable on my larger maps. I get tunnel vision every time I mess with the Elemental Defs file.
If I increase the: 1.0 1 Will that give me a larger influence based on the improvements in my city? How did you mod the Influence factors?
I hope Gamestop dies. I also hope that any other company that puts the dollar before the user dies along with it in some sort of corporate apocalypse. Capitalism in its most evil incarnation is ruining the gaming industry. There should be laws against C&C4!
This theoretical discussion has gone to the point of us just guessing at what the balance will be. Hopefully the devs are reading too and are thinking about specialization a little more. It may be that the game allows the civilization tech tree to fix any city that didn't get enough food or production. It may be that the tile limit thing I read somewhere was in my imagination (I looked but I can't find any specific answer to the question). It would be strange that a city can

But the limitation that forces choice and thereby differentiation is rooted in only having 8 tiles to build on. You can have a school, perhaps in every city, though I don't see the point of having a school on a level 3 iron works city. You wouldn't be able to build a university because there would not be enough room. When you do find a nice patch of green land for a large city to make that university worth while, not much else will be built there, except for educational, administrativ
