Monk Staff has been balanced. I am glad you noticed the spell difference. I made almost every spell resistible, including those from staves. It is a good idea to equip a spell staff of some kind. It gives you +5-10 Spell Mastery at the cost of -5 Init. That means your blizzards will take longer, but kill more.

This video is much like my Rastafarian friend in college. I believe I am getting a contact from watching it. Groovy man.

The problem is that some people might think that they have reproduced a bug in vanilla, but are actually still playing with some chocolate. Human error is likely, but easily checked. I would still prefer we do it after I get my hands on the new build. I will be too distracted with quests otherwise. I have somewhere around 300 quests to add.

Having a Lair built into a city should add a few of those units to the defensive battles. So if you build a town next to a Storm Dragon Lair and you can cap it, you now get a Storm Dragon for defense. It would make Serpent's Pact so much more useful.

Darn, they beat me to it. The update I am working on has close to 15 Paths. [Edit] How are you handling trait trees and showing the player the branching options? Will that be in the Hiergamemnon?

I had no idea you were even thinking about letting us have that. I say wait until beta 3 when things are a bit more nailed down. That is going to make modding so much faster. I am going to miss writing straight xml. Well... maybe not too much. [e digicons][/e]

City Defenders are a trained garrison. Barracks, Fort, Castle, City Level, Guardian Statue, and such represent an effort to have a professional defensive force. I would like additional options from and Armory to upgrade those units with metal for a one time cost of say 50 Metal. There is so much potential with city defense that is yet unrealized. Did you know you could make a Spell Tower that casts a spell at the beginning of each battle? That is the sort of defensive variety we need. Iv

Bioware is now an EA logo, not a talented development group. I was just venting on how all of our favorite games are having sequels that ruin the franchise. I rather expect that from this one too. But I only expect these things to avoid disappointment. Expect nothing and never be let down.

Me and my new co-author are currently adding new Paths and redoing the old traits to mean more. I feel that heroes are not scaling well with trained units in the endgame. The most notable thing will be Governors actually affecting your whole nation.

Or it adds to your ability to plan. You might take a look at my post on faction differentiation. Random techs+Faction Techs+Core Techs makes for more replayability and teaches the player to adapt to new situations. I also have rationale for why you are seeing random techs in each game. We will still disagree, but my tick might at least go away for an hour. I get it every time someone says that random is bad.

Prediction: Bioware: Soviet Studios Presents.... BG III: A tactical based first person shooter. You play John Henry, an over-muscled beat cop with a grdge against ferrets and zombies. Sent back in time to war against enemies that only seem hide behind chest high walls, your mission is to close the oblivion gates to prevent the developers from patching the game!
