I will have to turn ground cover off for the size maps I plan on using. On lowest possible settings I should be able to make a 100x100 custom map.

I already know the AI on the strategic level can have several personalities, like builder or merchant or warmonger. The difference is the AI tag values in the xml that determine priority in choosing what to build and research. This should be added to champions as well so that Frosty the Mage can start with Water I and know to choose Path of the Mage, Water II, Evoker, and Spell Mastery. That might seem simple, but one of the hardest things to do is have the AI make competitive champions

With the goal of being modular, I don't want anyone changing the ElementalDefs unless they are adding to it. The mods I make before release will of course be core mods, but I am not aiming to allow that kind of mod to work with anyone else's. I honestly don't even know all the changes I have made to the file. It would take some time to compare it to the backup copy.

The thing is, I am a proponent of realism that is also good gameplay. Instead of conceding to a life of realistic treks to and from cities with a weak hero I have to use as a courier, why not just slightly alter the UI to make more realistic sense? My solution: Shop button opens up the same window. A brief note at the top of the shop screen explains that you have flagged a traveling merchant from the Serrane Merchant Guild of the town of Calder. You are in luck that he h

[quote who="lulapilgrim" reply="272" id="3111949"]These rules are called the Natural or Moral Law which is written in our heart. The sense of moral obligation confirms these rules. In every one of us there is a sense of right and wrong. A man knows interiorly when he is doing wrong. Something rebukes his conduct. He knows that he is going against an inward voice. It's the voice of conscience, a law we did not make and which no man could have made for this voice protests whether othe

I don't want the beta on Steam until it is at 8.5/10. Those people are brutal and the Steam forums can ruin a game. But once the beta is ready, go for it!

I play so many games, there are things that bug me that need modding. It would be way worse to play one more game with an impotent Lumbermill. But my mod is focused on experimenting with user feedback and ideas. Of course much of it is moot in the next beta, but there is a small chance that someone will have an idea that is awesome. I then test it out and love it. The idea gets its own post and the devs hear about it. That idea sparks some dev discussion and makes the overall design bett

This mod lays the groundwork for some really great resource mods. One thing I want to do is make certain buildings give you a person as resource.\ Ex: Town Hall gives +1 Administrator. This Administrator will have a few used in a city and may be spent to build special things later on. So you can spend 1 Admin, 1 Slave Driver, and 3 Laborers to build a Plantation. The Plantation will provide +1 Grain, 10 Food per Grain, and 4 Crops Commodities. Commodities can be used to buil

I love the idea of caravans being the actual body that moves a resource, but it would cause so many problems I would not recommend it for this game. But it would be a sweet mod. Nice idea!

I am not 100% certain marriage is even a thing in the Star Wars galaxy. Not canon if you ask me. Wouldn't you also have to argue that playing a game where you murder thousands of people is too much for children and Christians in general. I can't think of a reason why sex is so much worse for them to see than throwing a grenade at another human being. If you are going to shelter your children, the video game censorship ratings are not a good path to follow. Even the E rated games have

Ah but the key to ridding a city of Unrest penalties relies on slavery for production. That is where I want Empire to excel. Kingdoms will get better relations and higher research rates to compensate. As soon as we get the Faction Differentiation Beta, we can talk about diversifying for each faction. Until then I have to deal with broad strokes. I wish I knew what the frak they were planning so I could include it in my plans. [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]

[e digicons]k1[/e] I wish all the Christians were like you. Not everyone understands the bit about God being the judge. Too bad so many millions of people have been oppressed and murdered over this lack of understanding. I really wish the author would have added a few more chapters about homosexuality in the Bible to curtail all the homophobes from using it a blunt instrument. But as far as the game goes, it would be nice if robosexualuality was an option

OEM is the way to go for Win7. Win8 will be out soon. After that fails, there will be a Windows Mojave out in 6 months at full price. Better to get an OEM for Win7 and wait for the 200 dollar patch to fix what went wrong with Win8. I may have a slightly cynical view of Windows OS, but I see no desirable alternative. It just takes some smart buying to wait for a good version to happen.

I think the Sith have a valid point about the Old Republic being too large and corrupt to govern and protect its own people. Darth Palpatine's plan would never have worked if the Republic was in the least bit capable of protecting Naboo. I wonder how long after the war did the New Republic fall back into the same routine?

We should start a link list of websites that put up an article. At the very least I will put up some more videos of .86 and link them to the comments sections.

If we go by the standards of other games, there is no cause for a mature rating. There is more sexual content in most other games that are only rated teen. Are you making the argument that homosexual sex is somehow more mature than heterosexual sex? I really don't see the logic in that.
