Here is a copy of my screens files. Just delete all of yours and move these in: Screens Link Remember that -localdataonly blocks you from getting the server's new files. So the correct procedure is to delete the contents of Screens folder, start up the game, being connected to the server. The server will then see that you don't have any UI files and give you the new ones. Then you can go back to -l

It sounds like the problem is with your girlfriend. [e digicons]:troll:[/e] All trolling aside, have you tried enabling the windowed mode? I use this mode and go to chat by tapping the start button, which brings up the task bar. I am sure a real windowed mode and other features are being worked on, but for the beta that might have to be your solution.
Wow avarin13, one problem at a time. They can't fix it all at once. [e digicons];)[/e]
If the descriptions are correct, you will notice that Scribe unlocks some special items for heroes. My advice is to try both. Scribe gives you Summon Air Elemental, Blizzard (casts instantly!), and Escape. I plan on adding more as the city levels, but I am trying to get basic balance of the early game down first. Also, Oracle is missing the fact that it consumes 1 Crystal Per Turn. Sorry about that. Oracle is 500 Labor to build and Scroll Scribe is 2000. Or

The level milestones for most beasties are FUBAR. Drake, Forest Drake, and generally other dragons are fine. But anything lower than that is a total waste of resources. I spent hours and hours rebalancing them to get some semblance of balance. Mercenaries are my pride and joy. Remember those hilariously terrible ones from vanilla? No armor, crap weapons, no real use because you can't group them into parties, groups, etc.. I have made them real mercenaries. If you play with W
Autoexplore is not yet functional.
What OS are you using? Program Data is different from Program Files. It is usually a hidden folder. You would need to set all hidden folders to be shown before you can see it. I recommend putting those files back and searching for Program Data. Of course I am using Windows Vista.
I might mess around with the "requires force unlock" function this weekend. If we don't get new beta next week, I'll add masterwork techs through traits like Mastersmith.
You prefer Naja to only have 12Hp and 3 armor? You want them to always be single units instead of groupable? I just don't get you man. [e digicons]
You must be from the evil empire episodes of Star Trek. Probably the only good episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise.
It is theoretical, but there may be mass quantities of dark matter out there for harvesting.
Casted Reprisal on a unit with a Battleaxe. The unit performed the counterattack, but when the enemy unit dies, the game hangs on the enemy unit's turn. I am then forced to autoresolve if I want to play some more. It only seems to happen on weapons that have an applies spell function. Maybe the spells are not reacting well?
It is possible though that antimatter can be found out there floating about in space. We may be able to harvest it. The fact that we can't produce it now only means that not enough humans are trying.
I came to the same conclusion. I have been modding the stats, which are controlled for each level the monster has. You might want to check out my WFNB mod to see what a well balanced Serpent's Pact might look like. I don't think the devs will look at this until beta 4 really.
I like those. I will make some give special spellbooks as well. I need to remember to make that scouting spell do more than 6 radius. I am thinking 10+(2 per Airshard) revealed on cast.
There is a slider in the options menu that can change the way the Cloth Map looks. You can also mod the tint of it with a simple mod. I think what you want is to decrease the color intensity so that it looks more like an old map instead of a new one. That is in the main options menu at the top-middle.
I don't think a war is needed. Greed will fuel our expansion as it always has. I think Firefly gives a much more likely prediction of how it might look. Corporations are the future of most interstellar ventures. Blue Sun Corp. FTW!
Also, all colonies need to be highly ordered military installations. We don't want regular people living on other planets. Their culture would evolve differently and we would become separate peoples.
Because you don't build units until later in the game in my mod. I have each player starting out with some midgame units. By the time you need anything besides them, you will already have Leatherworking. It is already a good tech to rush, since it will make your city defenders get leather armor. I agree in principal that the vanilla is strange to not have any armor on start. My opinion is that the leftover armor from before the Cataclysmic event would still be scavenged and s
LOL, transcendence requires much higher technology than an FTL drive. What science book are you reading? [e digicons]o_O[/e]
I posted something earlier about making the random techs possible to find through quests. So you have a random collection of the unique techs at start, presumably from your travels and local resources. Then you can seek out the fire techs you want by adventuring. That would seem to be the best design scheme. It satisfies randomness and replayability, while still allowing players to get those spells they feel they are entitled to. I would make this even better by having a building like
I thought so too, but it turns out that the smaller shrills are just only level 2, while the big kahuna is level 9. I modded the levels for all monsters to fix these balance issues in the WFNB mod. I really can't play vanilla anymore. Issues like this really bother me once I have fixed them myself. [e digicons]:-"[/e] Of course the devs won't probably even look at this sort of thing because the game is too fluid right now. They have bigger fish to fry.</p
Assuming there is still money when you get back. There is a Star Trek:TNG episode where people put themselves in stasis with the same idea. Upon waking they found themselves in a world without money. All their personal property was gone. Kind of a risky bet. I would think that part of an FTL drive would be a temporal compensation factor so that you arrive at your destination around the time you left your starting point. Time travel is very dangerous. I think even an animal as dumb as the huma
Right, because to get to should we, we need to have could we in the conversation. I say that the energy spent on could negates the practicality of doing it. So no, we should not. We should sustain this planet until we can get FTL at a reasonable speed and cost. Of course we will make an FTL drive eventually. At the present though, we should not pursue it.
