Two weeks for beta 3. I can live with that. Are we starting Faction Difference at that point or have you been adding it this whole time and we are now going to test it?

Looks better with them, plays better without them. The age old question. Best leave it on by default.
Not to be a negative Nancy here, but do these spells have a better grasp of spell target type? The art itself looks great! So that is what you have been cooking up these last few weeks. Very nicely done.
I just keep making this game better. I don't like games that prescribe gameplay on the user. Fight the power! [e digicons]:banhammer:[/e]
Got some great Strengths for Sov design. Now I need some weaknesses. I condemned pretty much all the vanilla weaknesses because they mostly gave trade offs in addition to an extra point to spend. Weaknesses need to affect the starting game or serious weaken the Sov. Ex: Cruel: +75% cost to hire heroes. [e digicons]8C[/e] That is worth one point you can spend on something like Wealthy: 1000 Gildar at start. So you can have no starting heroes and rush bu
Wesley, Yar, and the second doctor were all terrible characters. They are just lucky i wasn't manning the transporter when they used it. Accidents do happen...
What do you do while you wait months inbetween beta versions?
They have yet to set up the game to allow new games without exiting the program. It was mentioned in one of the dev diaries. Just exit before trying to load or start a new game. [e digicons][/e]
What is the name of that other planetoid that is further out than Pluto?
I have nothing against transcendentalists, but you never know when you are talking to one. Been burned alot on the internet when at the end of a month long conversation they start quoting Revelation. The thing is, on a basic level, transcendence must be possible. It would likely require some significant evolution of the human to make it possible for our offspring. I would posit technology or a deeper understanding of the way things work as the faster way to effect change towards a transc
I laughed when I saw the mechanic for Throwing Knife Damage. It looks like this: ((Dex-10)/2)+(6) My solution was to just show the equation in the description so that people can see how to make them more effective. I would personally make them do more damage and have a high chance to crit.
I don't recommend using stock Sovs or Factions. I have yet to mod them into usefulness. You are better off making clones of them that take advantage of the mod features.
Maybe they can use an AI to run the American Congress. Even if 90% of the masses disapprove, it will still have a higher approval rating than humans.
BTW, that obsidian armor error is something wrong on your end. I haven't made any changes to that bit of code. It doesn't show up for me. You may want to check your user files for any armor mods.
You still need engineers to run the machines and repair them.
That would make my mod the question.
Probably from the AI server Brad is building.
I had a game go all the way to turn 200 before Mana Blast tempted me into using it to often. I just defeated a Wildlands with it and got drunk on the power. I will mod some more and start a new game. I will try to release a new mod tomorrow if all goes well. First person to give me a random number between -100000 and 346 gets to decide the next version name!
My mod will use the ignore friendly units option. It will be the least annoying way of casting, since it costs so much to use AoE in the first place.
A better solution would be to have Hero specific traits that you only get from that hero. It would take alot of work and thought, but it might happen at some point in beta 4. I always wish heroes that have titles like the stonecutter would get +50% damage against stone based units or do an extra 33% penetration through armor. Then we would be getting rare traits from those locked heroes instead of choices we could have made ourselves. I agree, that is no fun.
Just found "EnemyUnitIgnoreFriendly" on Shockwave. D- for not using this tag on all AoE spells. [e digicons]:typo:[/e]
Using "Enemy Unit" as the target type in many spells prevents interesting interactions during combat. The worst thing is when an AoE spell cannot be cast because friendly units are in the way. Mantle of Fire should damage friendly units that are attacking me due to being Clumsy or Dominated. The simple solution, which I just finished doing myself, is using the "Any" option instead to increase the interactions of magics in combat. Might want to do this more often, unless Enemy Un
Never though of that. Thank you.
I still have PTSD from the SAT. I liken things to each other compulsively. I got a great score, but at what cost? At what cost!? [e digicons]XO[/e]
