I am happy to explain any part of this post that people think is right. Re: Defense One unit with an attack of 20 should do more damage than two units with an attack of 10 against 7 armor (Full Leather Clad Unit). Greater attack means a more devastating blow. Two medium blows against a defending unit would be less detrimental than one devastating blow. A realistic mechanic. The problem is that units don't have enough starting Hp to take any blows with the current bal

Good traits. I will find a way to implement them. Some of the more complicated things are not yet possible due to little bugs, but I will add those as the game is fixed.
You may want to take some time and learn the combat mechanics and then rewrite this. It contains several errors in logic and understanding of FE. I guess we can look at this and think about how to make the mechanics more transparent for users that are more familiar with other games.
Path of the Governor is now much more viable. You will notice that at higher levels, they will give +150% XP from battles.
Generally Stardock Games are constantly being optimized through the development process and after release. It will get better and it will get worse. I find that there is nothing wrong with it in vanilla for me. But with 9 units per creature army, things get get choppy on turn 1. I do this: Play on lowest feasible resolution. (Just set it on your desktop and the game will use that res.) Disable Outlines. Disable Effects. (Currently bugged, they ca
Click Properties on the shortcut, look for the file path in the little box, at the very end of the file path add a space and then -localdataonly. Just in case people are thinking they need to add it to the name of the shortcut.
From what I can tell, XP is based on the stats of the unit dying. So Wither may lower XP in that respect.
Some buildings are not feasible to build unless you have specialized that city in construction. Try getting Mason and Lumbermill and then at least 4 Material. You will notice that those construction times will be down to about 20 turns.
I'm going to add Throwing Axes, Bolas, and Javelins to even out the concept. Knives will do Pierce, with a good amount of damage against lightly armored units. Throwing Axes will do Cutting with a high chance to Crit. Bolas will have a chance to knock the unit prone. Javelins will allow a unit to stand behind the front line and hurl some armor ignoring damage at tanks.

I for one am going to buy a copy for my friend since I get it for free. See, your customers can be dumber than you! [e digicons]O:)[/e]
I need to make upgrading more expensive. Don't want everyone training parties and then upgrading. [e digicons]*_*[/e]
Another weekend update: +Common Rarity Traits for Heroes are now cancer free. You might actually want them. +Sov Talents now have some interesting options. Will you be a Necromonger? Do you come from money? What special abilities have you acquired in your travels? I would like to add more if anyone has any ideas. +Unit Design Traits have been rebalanced. The costs are higher, but so are the effects. There are 2 free level options. Go ahead and read each one as they com
When you are in the create custom Sov screen, there is a choice of race. Next to that is a "New" button. Make sure you make the race before the Sov. The Sov screen is reset when you finish the race.
The state Washington. I get about 100 turns with my mod installed due to the excessive memory requirements of Dense Monsters that are actually Dense. In the vanilla I get about 250-500. But by then I usually have won.
Should I make the tech traits mutually exclusive or should you be able to spend all three points on techs if you want? [Edit] Gonna make it only one tech bundle per faction. Too powerful to get 9 starting techs. [e digicons]:omg:[/e] [Edit] Doesn't Work with the current interface. Need to learn how to mod that. Gonna make sure the overlap of tech unlocks is not game breaking.
Just wanted to jot this down for any prospective mods. Now, Hf made a pretty solid system for choosing one or the other with a resource mechanic. But it has certain drawbacks, one being a very complicated system, and too, it only works for improvements if you make the building time one. Now, I believe the devs should simply add a mutually exclusive choice tag to the xml as well as a better way to upgrade a single building with many options. See Shogun 2 for a good example of how that would wo
You can also look at ElementalDefs.xml to change animation speeds for specific actions. I am afraid to mess with them though. Bad huju.
Did some more research on this. It seems that any counterattack spell or ability cast on another unit will cause the bug. It only happens when the said counterattack kills the enemy. I would guess that the game simply does not end the enemy turn in this case. It may be waiting for his attack to finish. Any devs thoughts on this? Seems like a big bug that needs professional squashing.
I changed the description to be more descriptive. Throw a knife at a nearby enemy. Damage is greater with a high Dexterity, but the equation is convoluted. [((Dexterity-10)/2)+6]
You can always stack your governors in the city that has the Adventurer's Guild.
That bothers me too, but it is a core game problem, not from the mod. I haven't figured out a way to fix it yet. Maybe try saving the game right after you cast the spell, exiting the game, and then starting it back up and loading your save? sometimes that fixes this sort of problem, which is likely just the game not recognizing the spell. That is the best I got.
Re: How time travel fits in. Faster than light travel with some methods means time dilation. You would end up in the future, far beyond where you began. I would simply search for a race that has perfected a means of reversing the effect, ergo time travel. AFAIK, Star Trek explores the possible different methods of FTL travel better than any other story. If you want to claim they don't, your knowledge of the subject is now necessary. Please elaborate.</p
I really expected more trolls on these sights. The day is still early I guess. Trolls sleep in.
As to the god machine, remember how Scotty survived to be in the next generation? I am stuck in this shuttle and there is no way out. LOL I'll just hang out in the pattern buffer until someone comes along... And the discovery he made to do that is totally forgotten in all other episodes. Call me a geek, but when you watch every series at once, you start to notice that the plot seems to specifically avoid solutions that were done by other series and episodes in general. Kind
