PLEASE Stardock, for all that is holy and pure, do not make Star Control as a XCom-style roboot: keep the game mechanics in place. Thanks for listening to this die hard fan :}
I think by "X-Com style reboot" they mean that they'll start the franchise over with large inspiration taken from the predecessors. IE, the game won't be a continuation of the previous series (SC3 or SC4, depending on what you think of
I think what most Star Control fans are looking for is a new Star Control game where the inspiration comes from Star Control 2. They want a game with fun, adventure and top down ship battles like in Star Control 2 that all play within a fun sci fi universe.
This sounds just fine.

Brad asked randomly in a post the other day if folks would like to see a SD developed game in the SC2 universe. Also worth noting that Brad has, according to Wikipedia, tried to buy the franchise from Atari in the past. So that's my guess.

You're argument is basically that (and forgive the baseball reference) all pitchers in Major League Baseball are disappointments because they're not Clayton Kershaw. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong and an apologist for whatever pitcher they don't think is a disappointment. Facts be damned. In case you don't get the reference, there can be multiple "good guys" in a discussion like this. CD Projeckt is awesome for a whole lot of reasons (the b
If you're talking about LH and FE to the first bunch of people who bought E:WOM, well that's just making things right since no one disagrees that E:WOM is horribly broken.
So basically they shouldn't get credit for all of the stuff they did give away for free just because you say so. Do you realize that what SD did in response to EWOM was unprecedented? As in it's basically never happen
How nice for all those owners of FE and LH on Steam. Shame you're not showing the same care for those of us who bought FE direct from you.
Yes, because Steam trading cards would do you a world of good if you're not using the game on Steam.

Not only is it fundamental to the genre, I'd argue it's even more fundemental to Elemental games due to the nature of player vs. the world throughout much of the early stages of the game. Without the fog of war you lose a huge part of the early game tension around exploring one more square for that next resource/good hut/quest vs. uncovering something nasty and pulling it towards your fledgling civilization.
Well got the DLC map pack and first thing I noticed is there are still no huge or larger MAP's. ie there's no MAP in the DLC pack any larger then the large map that LE already had. Why is this? Limiting a game to really just 6 positions when with custom builds and mods there potentially so many more seems just well so ... limited. Also noticed even with just the recommended number of positions one can

That Indian ocean battle was atrocious. It ruined what was otherwise a really cool effect going on around the cause of that battle (to be as vague as possible).

Saw it this weekend. My wife (who likes most comic book moves and rates the last two Batman movies among her favorite movies) hated it. I thought was okay, I guess, but I left feeling colossally disappointed. There was definitely a really good movie in there somewhere. All around good acting, good story, good effects. But Zach Snyder ruined it with his penchant for "oh shit.. i'm not sure what to do.. I know.. BREAK SOMETHING". The movie was eithe
Glad I'm not the only one with this issue! So yeah basically I'm sure that Kantok's instructions work perfectly 'if' you have the DLC listed in your Stardock 'My Downloads' page. Myself and Elderberries do not, though we both legitimately purchased the map pack for FE on Steam. So I can't think of any way to obtain the serial for the DLC since it's nowhere on Steam and it's not even listed

For people asking how you get this on Steam if you have the FE Map Pack through the Stardock Store: Go to the "My Downloads" link in the first post, copy the serial number for FE: Legendary Heroes Map Pack DLC to the clipboard, open Steam, click "Add a game" in the bottom left corner and click "Activate a Product on Steam". Paste the key you copied into the box and hit Next, then Finished. It should automatically start downl
