Anyone else still waiting for elemental to show up in their impulse lists? I think it's been nearly four hours since the DL's started (not entirely sure) and I know they said up to 5 hours....just curious to know who else is waiting so I know when I should start mailing off about it >.>
I haven't got it yet, but I wouldn't be playing it this evening anyway, at this point. There's no tutorial stuff beyond what's in the campaign, and the videos that were posted.
You can drag with one of the mouse buttons or use WASD, if I recall correctly.
So, it sounds to me that we basically just need a bunch more seeds. That's probably something players can help with.
nah, I mean I've been closing the whole program out, and starting it up again. This is quite strange. Starting from impulse or from the directory has no change either.
Of course it doesn't. Start a new game, and then you can see the changes.

If they played favorites like that, it would just slow everything down for everyone.
Well, right now I'd just wait if I were you, because if you did successfully preorder it, you'll get an email saying you can play it, and it'll appear in your "My Games" in impulse. If neither of those happen within the next fivish hours, chances are you did not successfully preorder it.

I actually agree, it would be better if Frogboy'd been more ambiguous in his statements - instead of saying "you'll get it at __" say it might be available then, and that's when he was shooting for. But it's not like we don't know what sort of issues were going on, and we really can't blame him for a late early release. After all, we're still getting access before the game is actually out.
I also am not seeing it. I preordered very recently, perhaps half an hour ago. EDIT:
Wow... just heard from Frogboy it could take as long as 5 HOURS for all pre-orders to be processed... so anyone who ordered late, might want to go to bed :/
Oh. Well, I'd be up for a few more hours anyway, perhaps something will happen. If not, I'll set it downloading installing while I work tomorrow.
I share this sentiment, though I feel that I should point out that in fact "release" is Tuesday. As such, we don't really know what he'll do in the hour leading up to release.

There's already a couple threads about this, I'd recommend finding one of them for a full story. Short answer, it's because the beta keys are disabled. You should be able to get it when it's ready (non-beta) which may be tonight. Edit: I'm slow. Oh well.
"restarting my game" is not the same thing as "start a new game". If you're loading a saved file, it wouldn't work.
I'm pretty sure most good games can work as epic story generators.
I think the answer to that would be "not very easy". Unless it's something that they specifically allowed for, and I'd think we'd have heard about it if that were the case.

Wow. When I saw the threads about Best Buy's exclusive stuff, I figured I'd been putting Stardock up on a pedestal as a paragon of virtue in the industry, and you were succumbing to more exploitative business philosophy. I'm glad I was too quick in doubting you guys.
