Yeah, this retraining makes sense. But the XP reallocation doesn't. If we're representing that the same dudes go back into the force, each individual person's XP should be stored, and people with the most should be recruited first. Then the XP for large groups should be averaged, with no unit having less XP than the level you selected before training. This has the flaws that it's a very fiddly system on the users end, and that it would probably be a hassle on the programming end as well.

Guys, you're forgetting that your sovereign has powerful magic. The ability to see anything in one's realm, and to give orders over vast distances, is implied by gameplay mechanics to be an ability inherent to channelers. Because of this, mundane things like signal flares are not likely necessary. It can happen by magic. Also I agree with this suggestion, if that wasn't apparent.

So... If you strip away the cool glitzy stuff, what's left that couldn't be duplicated by existing OS features? It's prettier and unified, I suppose, but I'm sure it also takes some amount of additional RAM.

Te bugs that a lot of reviews complained of are gone. As a game, it's still a bit bland. Gameplay will be fleshed out quite a bit in the 1.1 update, and there is an expansion coming after that which will be free to anyone who owns the game now (so, if you buy now you get a free expansion later!) I find it to be pretty fun in its current state, though I do definitely see plenty of room for improvement. Of course, since it's a Stardock game, you know that improvement will occur, which m

That was like a month ago. It's not a priority, sure, but that doesn't indicate that it's dropped. Just that nobody's been thinking about it in a while. Also, Frogboy did mention that he was still planning to go on sabbatical just the other day, although nobody talked about Python at that point, it was just an aside.

Frogboy has said that he's going to do this. It is indeed a case of "We don't have a Python programmer" but he's planning on going on sabbatical for a while and learning Python, rather than settling for a less preferable language. That won't be happening until Frogboy feels that the game has been improved to adequately address the userbase's concerns, however. Also, this information is fairly old, his plans regarding this may have changed. In particular, he migh

Money is the same in games as in real life - a convenient substance of arbitrary intrinsic value. The purpose it serves in games is pretty widely varied. In Elemental, money is the same as most resources. Some amount of it is used to create certain things, especially units. Whithin the context of the game's fluff, it is the physical item, and of course it also sort represents excess production, as workers sell what they have no need for, but it is not necesarily indicative of net surp
