Sovs need a "INT dosen't matter for me" tattoed on their foreheads in neon pink. I think this may be the single most popular question in the game.

For xcom apoc, most of the ideas they talked about actually made it into the game, they just didn't get used. If you look through the files there are tons of things for weapons and gear that never actually show up in game. Apoc is loaded with stuff like that. Rather than saying its unfinished, its more like it was finished, and they ended up giving us a beta build instead of the final build, right before they actually implemented all the features.
Get leather coated gaurds with boar spears asap. One can handle entire monster armys easily.
Xcom Apoc was a great game. The only reason people say they don't like it is because it has a different feel to it than ufo defense or terror did. The first 2 games felt more like horror games while apoc felt more controlable. Mainly because the maps are brighter and sight lines bigger in apoc, so it feels like you can actually spot the monsters before they are 3 feet from your guys, but still. Give it a try, its worth playing. Also, configuring dosbox is easy. Don't get it from steam
Armor dosen't need a re-balancing, it needs a total change in how it works. Right now, all you have to do is get one armor level above what your opponets weapon level is and your troops become invincible. Its been mentioned before, but a system like MoM's would be good, as even the weakest unit at least has a chance agasint the strongest. Yes, a sky drake will smash the crap out of a spearmen, but at least the spearmen have a chance to do a point of damage. Or dnd where you can roll a 1 or 20
No, i think the real issue is content. Every nation does the same thing, kingdom and empire may have different names for the things they do, but they are basically the same. All troops have the same feel, only difference is the amount of attack and def, no real differences in use or ability. Same with champs, they all feel the same, like slightly upgraded troops. Lots of interesting spells, but only like 5 or so are useful. Quests are all the same too. Terrain too. There is regular gr
Game has reached mediocre. Big step up from the bad of before, but still not to good yet, getting there though. But its playable, and can be fun if your willing to overlook a lot of stuff.
I assumed they got out their and tilled the land with their hands. I am empire, so my dudes are not weak little fleshy humans like you kingdom folks. They are strong and capable of actually doing things without needing critters to help.
You don't want to actually be touching the food resource or it is built on the citys time instead of by magical workers who spring from nothing.
Don't attribute to malice what could be simply stupidity. Honestly, i think rather than trolling, they are just clueless. They don't realize that the bug is probably a very narrow bug affecting only them, and that if they had submitted a report it would of been fixed months ago. Instead, Stardock must use ESP to determine the bug and fix it.
Honestly, as an empire player, i don't recall seeing any buildings to speed construction, but then i could just be blind.
So, my dudes have not yet learned how to make pointy sticks, but they have hunting hawks?
Dude, submit your crash report. Every time your game crashes and you fail to report, you might as well be saying you like that crash and want to keep it.
there are a few high level buildings that can make it go faster. However, by the time you can build them, you have pretty much built everything in your city. The best option are champs with the administrator trait. they make stuff build 10% faster, and i am pretty sure they stack, so get a couple in one city and it builds real fast. But there is no hurry option, if thats what you mean.
That background has been the same for ages. Most likely you just noticed it now for some reason or another.
I think its a dove. I always assumed its a reference to the dove on noah's arc finding that sprig of whatever it found when the flood waters went down. But to be honest, thats a crazy far stretch, so your guess is as good as mine.
Ya know, normally the pick up line about needing to repopulate the earth is supposed to be one of the cheesy blow off ones that gets you slapped, Not the literal truth.
Looks like news sites are using old pics that are totaly different from what we have. Awesome.
I love it when a dev sucks at their own game. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Yes, i demand the ultimate staple of all fantasy games/books/movies, the platemail bikini! It just feels so weird, having women soldiers in full armor that actually looks effective.
ebelser, after looking at your posts i notice that you have no bug reports. None. I feel for the people who crash, but if your going to crash, and make no reports i have 0 sympathy, none at all. Most likely you will continue to crash forever, because if you don't report a bug, then stardock has no way of even knowing it exists, much less fixing it. If you want bugs fixed, REPORT THEM. Stay silent and nothing will be fixed. Honestly, i think that is the biggest issue. all these
Being able to set up marriages to your kids with random champs or other being who are not of another faction would be nice too. Keep it all in the family. Agree with your ideas as well. Something has to be done to kids, because right now, i treat them as baby machines to make me more units with +1 to gildar/research and thats about it. Although most of that is because kids still start with 1 move quite often, which is stupid since they become unable to do anythi
Slay food! Eat Enemy! We seriously need a cannibal side that heals themselves by eating the troops/pop of other sides, but everyone declares war on sight on them.
"The pen is mightier than the sword." -Some old dead guy Im totaly cool with dipcap being able to buy lots of stuff, but the AI really should be able to use it. Let the AI buy real resources or something, because as it stands, i feel like im fighting a bunch of very slow, very dumb, children. And i have heavy military hardware, while the children have...pointy sticks....that they hurt themselves with more than me...
Actually, administrators should gain XP fairly quickly in a town that builds a lot. After all, their skills are being used heavily. Sure, not their fighting skills, but they are still working a lot.
