Perhaps changing Difficulty to Savagery or something similar to denote the difference. Traditionally in 4x games the "Difficulty" is the AI strength/cheating level not the creep strenth(like in RTS or RPG games). This would avoid having 2 different difficulty options on two different pages with different meaning.

Anytime a spell does no damage or an attack does no damage (ie mitigated by defense) its displayed as a miss, its thrown me off a bunch of times.
Kyro brought it to our attention that Element displays hits that are absorbed by armor is displayed as a "miss" Kyro - Hits fully absorbed by armor are registered as misses, so that's most likely what you're seeing. Single archers are only really effective against unarmored opponents. Training groups so they can volley will yield better effect. https://forums.elementalgame.com/391477 I would suggest display either something like Deflect(
Frogboy, you may want to talk to Mr Cirulis and Ms Dembo of Kerberous Productions, They produce a great space 4x game called Sword of the Stars that features realtime battles often lasting 3-4 minutes (and often several fights a turn in later gameplay). They may be able to offer some insight on your conundrum. I'll weigh in my 2 cents here too. To say I don't feel any disappointment would be an understatement, While I know I will enjoy the hell out of the single player
re @ Dungeons I remember Brad saying something about them having many art assets made for them but not getting implemented in the release version. But that would be part of the game. So we'll probably just ahve to wait for a bit ^.^

I've been testing on a non gaming system i5 660(on die graphics) and 4GB RAM, no dedicated card without two many issues, yeah it looks ugly on that but performance isn't too bad. Remember performance WILL be greatly different from Beta 4 - beta 4 is almost a month old and has none of the optimizations the internal beta 5 build has. The final Version will also have the debugger disabled (I'm assuming here, but my experiance in betas tells me that the software has extra code running to
I do not belive they actually charge the card until a product is available to ship. I orginally pre-ordered before the Beta started and did not receive an activation email until Beta 1 started - the same time my card was charged. Since you pre-ordered after the last beta phase was avaible you will probably by charged on the 23rd (when pre-order customers can start downloading the 0 day version of the game). I wouldn't worry to much though, these guys are awesome.
If you follow the Dev journels you can read about how the game is currently is beta 5 (private gamma as frogboy called it) which is a internal only build. Beta 4 still has the memory leak and many other things they have fixed over the a last few weeks. The game on release will look almost nothing like beta 4 - The actual game UI will be in, all the final art work(almost everything is beta is placeholder) gameplay and balencing tweaks will be in as well as new AI(now that they are

Many believe that copyright in its current form is damaging not only to the economy, but also the creative process. That it discourages creation of new content or improvements on old. It makes creating competitive environments much more difficult and/or cost. But that is another discussion entirely. Now here's the big thing. The laws being enforced against consumers were primarily drafted pre - 2000. Before civil infringement became widespread. These laws were made to combat g
Was I the only one expecting bad news :P This is awesome though ^.^
Not having an experiance component compined with the lore so far would suggest something like a turn based growth mechanic.

The difficulty with USB headphones is that they generally use their own built in sound card to drive them. The difficulty lies in that the sound is being generated ON the headphones. The headphones may have the option to be driven though your normal sound card driver - that would probably be the only real possibility short of getting a different set of headphones or something over my head entirely.

And with Stardock's proposed system of implementing user content into the game, they would probably only have to provide a relatively small amount of unique features that could be expanded by modders as the game goes on. As an Aspie I can speak somewhat from experiance, Autistic children learn and think differently. Commonly they work much better with visual stimuli so something like this would be a huge benefit. Its likely demigod fallout too, If your name is on it people stop having to listen to reason. You know the good ole "somethings wrong, you rname is on the box I blame you" mindset. Don't get me wrong, Stardock went above and beyond with fixing demigods problems, even gave out refunds. They have nothing to be ashamed of. Some people just don't want to be wrong.
