So what we mean is...... Hurray, Hurray it`s a [Possible] patch day today!
I agree some fallen heros would be nice it's a bit of an omission, not like they couldn't easily be modded in. I think stardock just forgot to be honest.
Yes it even tells you on the arcane research bar how many you are building per turn. So research and build buildings that help with arcane research or look for Lost temples to build on they supply a lot of arcane research points.
I think they where unhappy with the way rivers looked which is why the maps they supply don't have them...
Well 1.09 is only targeted for this week as far as I know, so I doubt 1.1 is about to be released.
Sorry I can't find a link to it right now, but I believe it was in a journal. It got taken out because they thought the random map generation was too slow to release at this point. Personally I would like them to release it as an option I don't really mind waiting for a random map to generate but then my gaiming goes back to waiting 5 minutes for a game to load from tape.
There is of course no point....you don't have to research it by the way. But I agree you shouldn't be able to. If you understand how they've done prerequisites though in the XML you'd see why you can.
Is this a joke post? Civ 5 has nowhere near the same number of crash issues that Elemental had. I can't believe you actually think otherwise. Do you not understand that whitewashing Elemental's release problems actually hurts this game?
I have no idea how many crash issues CIV 5 has had and I doubt you do either frankly, except maybe on your system. The fact is modern games engines are complex an
Right I see, yes it was and I agree it was silly to put it on the box because it does make the combat look more like RTS than turn based, which was changed mid-development. Guess they already printed the boxes. Substantially I've had a battle with about 10 units (many of them squad I think 10 men units basicly, plus a dragon and my soverign). The enemy fielded less but I have seen large armies fielded, the dragon does still look like that and have a fire breathing animation like
see I'm upsetting you. Please remember
Could you post the shot from the box or a link too it? I want to see what part of it is not achievable in the game at present, so I can judge we didn't all buy the boxed version. P.S. Quote seems not to be working properly for me at the moment as you can see.
One thing I've noticed is the bigger the map, the less fun it is for me. Tiny or small maps with a ton of AIs (I can get 2-4 cities before land is enclosed around me) puts a lot of pressure on you early on. One game I decided I would exploit : Tech right to spell9 and get mountain-creation. Than create a ring of mountains so the AI couldn't get into me. Once I started making mountains it became a fight for my life.&nb
Also yes you do gain the use of those buildings unless you destroy them or raze the city itself.
Anyway as of 1.1 when the magic system is changed this won't be a problem, but maybe they will address it in 1.09 the crash anyway, obviously with 0 Essence under the current system you Soverign will cease to be a channler.
Well, no. The answer has not been given. I've never played Total War, so that reference is lost on me. All I want to know if the dragon battle with the flying soldiers in chain mail will be possible in this game. If the scope of that battle is not currently possible, will it be possible in the future? Yes or no would suffice. Frogboy did say they were rushing to get multiplayer out because it's on the box. I just want reassurance that
Why does everyone get upset about my wanting a company to deliver a product as it was advertised? Is it too much to ask for an official answer? I really think it is a big problem when a company advertises a product and does not deliver on the advertisement. I feel I deserve an honest answer. If I see something on the box, I want to know if the product will be able to perform as shown. It's honest-business 101. &
I beleive they know the magic system needs a through overhaul, Check the journals 1.1 will include a through magic overhaul not just spell changes but the whole way magic works.
Have to admit I play on large maps and have only finished 2 games all the way through so I'm willing to believe it's only random resource placement. Of course there is also a map editor. But anyway I believe they are still refining random map generating, they where finding either the maps generated where not good enough or with an improved map generator taking to long to generate. Personally I think they should optionally release it anyway. But they do still fully intend for it to be
To be honest I think they need to address the fact that you can build on a resource anywhere in your influence, but if it's not near enough once of your outpost/town/cities you can't harvest the resources. It's not obvious and it's kind of pointless.
I believe random map generation is currently based on seed maps and so can produce a lot of similar maps. I believe they are still working on a better random map generator, they where finding their best random map generator just took to long at the moment expect to see it improved.
You build a city near a beach, research up to harbour then build that on a beach square.
I think the tiles issue may just be because you can't build on certain tile right against cliffs for example, goody hut, special resources and a few terrain types. Haven't seen it in the current version otherwise. I have seem quest bugs in higher level quests where the target doesn't appear and/or steping on it does nothing.
I'd check your firewall / AV software isn't preventing impulse working properly also if your using Vista or Windows 7 do you have administrator permissions?
I've encountered the none appearing or vanishing quest location bug, vut not the dragon failing to appear in your party. Keep in mind that you might not see it appear on the map if your party is already large (has many different units in it). But it should show in the bottom right of the UI when the party is selected and in combat.
