In all honesty there are better player made mods out there and this DLC does add little to the game in terms of traits and objects for those who enjoy custom leaders. I've got some enjoyment out of it but it is awfully simple and little for £4. On the whole I'm still happy to have bought it because I fealt getting Fallen Enchantress and FE:LH free because of the Elemental debacle was rather generous so I want to show my support. I would suggest though they
When Dead World was announced I could tell it was very much a 'barebones' release due to the lack of detailed information, so I didn't buy it and I'm still pleased I didn't
I actually think dead world is the only really good value for money DLC as the undead do play and look substancially different it's better than the others. I bought the DLC because stardock effectivley game me FE:LH free
Can I put in a vote for please, please, please make Galactic Civilization 3, GC2 is still one of my favourite games but I can see so much scope for you to take that further. Don’t get me wrong I like FE:LH think it’s a great game and I can see how you could take things further, but I don’t love it the way I loved and still love GC2 and bottom line I think the world needs more great 4x space empire games J
Ok, at the weekend my wife went out, I'd said I was going to play this for a couple of hours then fix some stuff around the house. I lost track of time completely and ended up playing 4 hours until she got back. So yes I think 5C is brilliant, cetainly much more absorbing than the 4 beta I'd been playing. Still the odd bug such as combat sticking ocassionally with autoplay the only way to get out of it, but this is as absorbing as the origional GC2 was, though not yet as good as
I think the army size limit is actually explainable in terms of command logistics on the battle field (IC) and research for larger armies adds something to the game so I like that. A one champion per army limit could be explained in terms of ego call them commanders or leaders rather than champions if you like, but I like the idea.
For myself researching technology is very much a part of the fun of this type of game. All part of the for X stratergy game experience, if they take it out I won't be interested in playing. I also think FE has a much better technology implementation than in EWOM.
Yes a fantastic start to the Beta, already a better, more polished and much more fun game than the origional Elemental war of magic is today. It really is a great game already so I have very high hopes indeed for the finished product this time, keep up the good work and well done. This feels like the game Elemental War of Magic always wanted to be, but never quiet managed to be.
I belive Gamestop changed the login procedure you need to enter your email you registered with and password, instead of your stardock nickname and password which it used to be, once I did that I found it worked fine. Unless of course you've forgotton your password in which case reset it. Of course maybe you didn't register under the email you thought you did.
So now that impulse is sold we need to get the beta through star dock central? Is that available yet? Where do I get it?
For me the cureent version is fun, but I enjoyed the whole process of the beta and seeing the improvements too. As a game I think the first version that came together for me and was really fun as a game was 1.09. But the mana changes in 1.10 made that even more fun. However I do agree the game some how lacks a little spice e.g. although you can design units the way the system works you almost always design the same unit that looks more or less the same at each tech level, since you de
Cool, was going to point that out to you. Really interested to know what was blocking it from running though sounds like you already tried firewall.
1.119 is a beta, I think the Beta releases need to download small data files from the stardock server every time you run them. Could it be your anti-virus is blocking this 1.11 was a full release version so wouldn't have needed to do that.
So the 1.1 version that you refer to obviously had stability issues....because they patched to try and deal with them...and yet like every patch, including the 1.1 REAL VERISON!!!! there has been crashing and stability issues.

You know really, you go leave. Honestly take that krap elsewhere.
Ranting abuse...Yawn. Why would I leave a community I've been part of for years, where I enjoy talking to game developers and talking about a game I enjoy pla
Ok I will chime in here because I am sick of fanbois telling me this is a beta game. Beta was done once, it was declared over and Stardock released an unfinished, rushed, buggy game. They got hammered by game reviewers, then they asked for a SECOND beta. They got their second Beta, and then it ended. And now we have somehow again begun yet another beta.
It's certainly not a beta game, but it is a beta patch you can tell because even to download it you have to tick to al
I believe UFOs are anti-submersibles piloted by a race of deep ocean sentient beings descended from Squid.[e digicons]^_^[/e] But on the subject of aliens I believe there are plenty, some probably more alien than you can imagine. I believe life should just be seen as a branch of chaos math and will occour in any chaotic system with enough complexity, (how much is needed is a good question). Will we ever meet any and if we did would we realise they where alive? That's the que

Bought a new hi-end gaming computer last fall with Windows 7 and I'm playing on a large map with 3 AI opponents and I'm regularly getting OOM errors and the game is crashing every 30 minutes or so. I am not running any other programs while playing
I also had no crashes at all in 1.11, but I respect and acknowledge that that may not be the case for everyone.
True if a game being stable on one PC made it stable on all PCs games development for the PC would be so much simpler.

I just updated to Win7 a couple weeks ago with all the latest drivers and I STILL get crashes. I'm running 1.11.
Are you posting the debug.err files?
Version v1.11 is the current released version of the game and is very stable.
Agreed, I've never had a crash from it. The new beta is a little unstable because I suspect of the changes in memory management and a bug that's crept in there.
Even with all the time and resources Stardock is putting into the project, Elemental is just slightly more stable than it was back in September. Is there a date for a stable version of Elemental
True if they weren't making major changes to memory management in new versions. I'm afraid when you start trying to improve memory management and as in the last patch multithreading support you open the door to introducing all sorts of crash bugs. Hence the beta of th
I actually got OOM errors for the first time ever with this patch, after about 100 turns or there abouts and it happens pretty consistanctly. Oh well it is a Beta patch after all and one of the dangers of trying to optimise memory management is you accidentally create bugs like this. Pretty sure they won't go official 1.2 without nailing this down, after all no point in a beta patch if you aren't going to address serious issues when you find them.
I agree resources are more common now but I'm not seeing any wolves, bears or bandits accept on quests.Maybe it's because I'm playing at very low difficult.
Since installing 1.19 I haven't actually seen a single bandit or creature. I've check the option was on in my last game and although I get told about creatures being released into the wild I never encounter randomly wandering creatures any more, is it just me?
