I noticed after loading a game that the kingdom info panel, for tracking Units/Cities/Quests on the left side of screen, disappears after loading. My display driver is current. Only way to get it back it restarting the game.

For the most part the skill seems to be working correctly but noticed 2 times in my recent game where it didn't. 1) Pioneer attacked by monster 2) Army attacked by mite army Also, we were discussing the mechanic of this skill in regards to cities in another thread (towards the bottom of page 1 into 2 https://forums.elementalgame.com/441721/page/1/#replies ). I think the mechanic in general is wonky right now. Besides my prior examples, was playing a Civ with Stealth, monsters attacked my army anyway. Not sure that city unit strength is factoring in all the time either. A lone Butcherman attacked my capital, Fortress with upgrade, Adventure's Hall, and 3 heroes sitting in it. Auto resolved sense it was Weak (Butcherman) v Strong (City Forces).
Not only is leveling boring, the heroes are quite underpowered compared to units that are in use by the time they reach a certain level. They're very squishy (and a hero dying means a permanent injury, thereas a unit can just be replaced by one of the same type), and where one hero can use one axe to slash for, say, 30 damage thanks to his high attack, the units can use six to slash for 120. Quality over quantity just doesn't wo
I think the boring trait lines are the problem and not the static traits. If you have many useful options in every game the trait selection is your DECISION without relying on a random number generator. If the trait lines would be removed like suggested here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/441857 it would be perhaps possible to include a few random traits in every path to make everyone happy.
I s
Predictability is the enemy of fun. Random events are always welcome in my book, especially if they make the game harder. If anything I want more random events, more often.
I would disagree with this to an extent. Randomness can easily make it feel like a player has little control over things (outcomes, encounters, difficulty etc.) which can quickly ruin the fun. So far, the LH changes i
I don't like the liner progression of skill trees, in every game the level up process will be the same. I'd rather the skills be random so that it's a different experience every time you play. Even though you are given 4 or 5 choices to pick your next skill it's same the 4 or 5 choice every game, it's boring.
Completely agree, I much prefer the original FE system for heroes (both recruiting &am

I'm also not a fan of these events. In one game I got this event paired with +2 to all monster levels and multiple extra monster spawns with world difficulty level set at Ridiculous. I find them to be random arbitrary difficulty and I just don't like how that feels.

I tend to crank up the world difficulty so I almost always build at least the Warden to keep some wondering monsters out. Other than that it depends. Sometimes it's worth extending the borders to grab another resource. When using the super army strat if I have a couple close together I'll build the extra movement, def, attack and 1/2 mana upgrades. Not sure if they actually apply to quest zones even if they are in the area, never bothered to truly pay attention, just did it off assump

So I messed around with the saves a few times. What was happening was I was trading with the AI for Civ Knowledge the previous turn. When the research que popped the following turn the game crashed. After loading it up and declining the knowledge trade, and made sure to research a tech that would take 3 turns instead of 1, the next turn worked perfectly fine and the Spell of Making went off successfully instead of crashing the game.

Was taking my time really drawing out the game. Turn had just started and research screen popped up. Could select research but after clicking done nothing happened. Could cancel and move tabs for a bit but all research in all tabs had the same issue. Eventually it just crashed. The debug is over 500 kb so can't post the entire thing on pastebin. http://pastebin.com/xfYUm6Bq <a href="https://ww

Yes they can pick arch types (though not sure about governor never looked for it). You can teach them spells if you find/buy the books. They can use equipment just like a hero. They can die but since they level up just and can be equipped just like heroes it's very easy to make them pretty much unkillable. Someone else on this board (can't remember who off the top of my head) posted a strat where he rushed the early magical weapons and eq

Had some free time to play FE v1.02 for the first time over the past few days. As of this posting I have had 23 different crashes in less than 4 days. When the crashes first started I verified the game cache through Steam, said there was no problems, crashes continued. Finally this morning when I hit crash #21 I reran the verification and said 1 file need to be re-downloaded. Did so and tried again, got crash #22. Both of these crashes occurred after loading the game. I can see the title yiel

27 GalCiv2 was probably my first SD game. I have played AD&D (and not just cpu games based on it, I actually bought the 3E books when they released). My dad has boxes and boxes of modules and miniatures. I fondly remember investing hours hand painting more than my fair share of them.

I honestly think a map pack for DLC is a terrible idea. I have never, and will never, buy a map pack. They don't add anything worthwhile to the game. Random maps + lack of MP really erode a need for spending additional money on maps. I think you'd be way better off with added civs/spells/champions than maps.

Hardcore aggressive essentially makes all win types besides conquest meaningless. Such a change would force players to play a certain way, stripping value from other game concepts and/or deteriorating the fun value for some players. As Tuidjy as mentioned several times, the game is far from over. Declaring victory at turn 39 seems very premature. Will you lose? Maybe,
