1.02 Crash - after load

Had some free time to play FE v1.02 for the first time over the past few days. As of this posting I have had 23 different crashes in less than 4 days. When the crashes first started I verified the game cache through Steam, said there was no problems, crashes continued. Finally this morning when I hit crash #21 I reran the verification and said 1 file need to be re-downloaded. Did so and tried again, got crash #22. Both of these crashes occurred after loading the game. I can see the title yields, cities, and armies but the map art fails to load. Assumed the save file was corrupt and tried loading an earlier save, same issue (crash 23). My third and final save is currently working.

Graphic card driver is current.

Crash #24

Killed on Ogre, battle exited, champion level up screen popped up and game froze and eventually crashed.

Steam updated my game today with FE v1.02. Since the program crashes after the loading screen. Can't even get to the main menu. I tried it like 10 times, all ended up crash after the loading screen.
