As long as somebody forces me to do anything (connected to the internet to play) I will refuse to use it. When it comes to be connnected top the internet to buy and download that's normal you are using a digital download service after all. The minute I am far from an internet connection I can no longer play for something I have paid for. I cannot accept such a thing. And I refuse to accept such a thing. To the point of not buying said product.

I agree that digital download is just starting and nobody as won anything far from it. When you need to run a program like steam to be able to play it,s far from pleasing everybody. This makes me think of Everquest 1 when it came ouot it was THE THING! nobody had ever seen something this grand. Now you have many of them even some free ones and I still think this is just the begining. Before anybody says they have won they better

I can't wait to see season four. I am waiting for it to be all out of DVD. I don't have time to watch it on tv. I just love the way the camera view changes all the time... Way cool.
The "dark side" of Star Trek? According to this trailer, an enlisted man will be made captain of a starship. This is like a seaman on his maiden voyage being made admiral of a BattleShip. There's nothing "dark" in that. DS9 would never have done anything so nonsensical. Honestly, that's my only real beef with this take on Trek (anymore. I've made my peace with it otherwise). If they weren't forcing you to accept something like that, I wouldn't mind.
<

I will have to look up Evochron, As for the joystick I do not know if Reunion is different but my it is complicated playiong with one. With straffing and everything.

Yes I have played Reunion for a few weeks now. It's a bit like Freelancer but a lot more sophistacated. It's just that the price seems a bit steep and I was wondering if the game was worth that much more. And being obliged to be on the web means that if I take my laptop with me will cause the game not to work. That makes it a bit ackward.

I am wondering if this game is worth paying 40$ US to play. I was wondering if anybody as played it could give me their impressions. Moreover it seems the only place I can get this game is Steam. I certainly whish Impulse carried it. Does anybody know if I need to be connected to net to play the game? I'm not very familiar with Steam and trust me I would prefer Stardock but they do not carry it. Thanks for the informat

I do not think you will see any Klingons at all. At least I did not hear anything about them. More Romulans than anything else and Jennifer Morrisson of course :p

I've always been a fan of Star-Trek and I always will. I'm 35 years old and I grew up with the reruns of the old episodes then I fell in love with TNG which I loved for the eye candy and for Patrick Stuart which I still think is the best ever Star-trek Captains. Then the last 2 seasons of DS9 really got me going with the darker side of the federation and the war. And now this new movie seems to be going that way once again the dark side of
And what arguments do you have for that point of view except logic? And how the hell do you find it more true to the fantasy genre..? I actually think you're arguing for the sake of arguing, to see how wrong arguments people can agree to, because in my eyes your decisions would make for a horrible game. I wonder if you think about how the game would play with your mechanics....
Let me put it this way, lets take 10 PLAYERS and put the

Some of you would like to have auto resolve at the max setting right at the start while some others would like to have it scale with experience or something like it. I for one can't see my army right at the start battle out against the AI at the max setting. There would be no advantage to having a hero leading them. What possible gain could I have to bring a hero into battle? When I as the Channeler take command of my troops against another
This is a great post! It clears up a lot of questions, I think, although it still leaves some very significant ones (like what exactly you mean by continuous-time turns). And I agree with Jentz... It sounds like you're planning on the leadership ability to determine the quality of orders that the AI will give your toops, but that sounds like a bad idea to me. For one, it means that if you don't have good leadership skills with a gene

I am happy for Stardock. They seem to work hard on satisfying their customers. I know I am one and I am very happy with their service. All hail the frog! [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]

If the item can be taken by the victor in battle maybe they could add a spell on the item that would curse the new user. I would enjoy that... Thou art CURSE! mouahahahahahaha note to self: remember to take your pills...

A nice good old dungeon crawl is alway welcome. I can imagine a trying to get out of it because one of your cities is under attack and you keep getting bogged down by wondering monsters or better yet you get lost in the dungeon because it's magical and the wwall actually move. :p

A game without any random event is like a party without music, beer and naked women. :p Seriously a game that never changes is in my opinion boring. IN galciv I always play with random. Some of them sure piss me off some but in the end I like to be piss off because it changes my confort zone. Sometimes I'll loose a game but it still put spices in the soup. I have to agree with some previous posters as to how the AI will react to some events. When they do nothing

I like the cool look. Runes written on the top of the buldings. Made me think of the Death Gate Cycles. Like the buildings are protected by magic :) Since it's all customizable I see no problem what so ever. Hail the frog [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]

I see some sort of Fusion car engine. One which will provide electricity. The only way to go is an engine that does not combust. Meaning anyting that uses fuel will eventually run out of it. The planet is already on it's last mile. Using biofuels will tax the food chain to much. Hydrogene is the most available product in the universe. I think it's our best bet.
