1. Found city anywhere, never did pay attention to grain/production counts. 2. Set up base ( kill all I can, produce some units, build the city up, get the econ going). 3. Research archers. 4. Kill everything that moves. Yeah, basically, strategy didnt change yet.

Yeah, saw the same thing with earth elementals, I had 5 shards when summoning Elemental A, and a turn later I had gained another shard, and summoned an extra emelental in combat... and that one was stronger. First I thought it was a bug but deceided to recast first to check... Shard boni are calculated at casting time.
Quoting JPRL, reply 2 - This version seems to be less stable than 0.75. I frequently suffer crashes (program ceases to respond and the program has to be terminated by Windows). This happens as I end a turn and there is a city growth and/or research finished message, but it is not consistent. As I now save at the end of every turn I then restart and this has worked every time thus far. Also note that sometimes these messages appear successful

Well, you can cast a spell that adds +3 constitution, so why not enable something else? Should be possible.
So here we are, Lord Carrodus, locked up in his castle. It has walls... and it has an Epic Herostack, and it has free defenders. Epic Herostack. Oh, yes, the one that can smash armies with ease right? Right? Before we begin lets settle some ground statements 1. They all rushed forward and were casting offensive spells like Storm to do damage. 2. The AI got like 3 turns before I could even move, their initiative bonus was MASSIVE. Ok.<br /
Oddness fills the world, when I enter mine enemies land, I can shop, and buy his researched armor and weapons. Dunno if this is WAI or a bug, but im guessing a bug...
Break enemy lines is impossible, it's never gonna happen.
Is it? Stand in the middle of the enemy's army and cast Titan's Breath...

I trust Derek view of the game so I hope this is a good decision. At the same time, I hope some modders will consider my idea to be
I obviously love MOM. But I have been somewhat...amazed at how often people overlook the fact that it was basically not possible, at any difficulty level, to lose because the AI didn't actually play the game. I used to have this issue with GalCiv when people said it should be like a certain Space....empire type game with people eventually acknowledging that it was impossible to lose at said game. We don't have t
I agree on the following: 1. Speaking from a professional point of view as a software developer, the latest Beta should NOT, EVER, be the latest build. Bad! Very bad! 2. Its just that some people come up with ideas that suggest re-doing half the game and they look at their idea and say "oh but that should be easy to implement", having no clue of how the software is built. I once got a request for adding a database field to 3 of our forms... a trivial ta
So I tried to enclose my capital city a bit) was already located in a valley) but since you cannot cast "Create mountain" on mountains terrain, there is no way to totally enclose your city. Of course, this might be WAI, but its also very, very annoying.
You know, the more I play this game, the more I see the huge potential for entertainment. Its fun right now, but there's just so much balancing to do, and lots of options. LOTS... of possiblities. Take your time Stardock, take your time.
So my champ died, my sovereign remained with 4 units, and combat was initated immedeately after he died so appearently the process moving him was too late. Now he is in the fight with 1 HP. And his fresh pneumonia.
Works fine on my system, apart from crashing, occasionally, when I try to exit the game outside of the game. Though I havent tried that since 0.75 when it crashed. I can suspend FE as long as I like.
There are probably many more things that can be done, but the game in it's current state does not feel close to being ready. If this is at 77% I am worried =x
Version number is not related, at all, to the readyness of the game. Pnce could easily go to version 0.95 and then do 0.951, 0.952 etcetera.I mean, we produce software, and our current version is 4.12.01.99 . Say what? 4 for
Yeah, I agree there should be a limitation there. Swinging a 2-handed sword from a horseback is uhm, awkward. It is also a limitation that would prevent some combo's to become grossly overpowered when it comes to troops and their usage.
that's an action rpg set in the warmachine universe as far as i can tell, not really the same as a turnbased miniature tabletop game. kind of a shame, i got excited when i saw the link. also i'm just pointing towards warmachine because they have brought loads of innovation to turnbased battle that can be stolen by anyone. Tactical battle turn 2: My level 10 champ, decked out in all plate armor, was killed, in one hit, by 5 warriors armed with 2-handed axes. I eventually won that fight with good results... however, my army, upon return to the land map, was vaporized ( And I suddenly had a load of extra gildar per turn). Morale is if leader dies army goes poof. Cannot be right.
Yes, I enjoy the regular troops as well. I was kind of forced, having only one hero apart from my sovereign, and am having a good time, even if th eoppoistion is currently being waltzed over :D
Quoting Dreadcough, reply 35note "in some instances". the size and type of battle field would depend on how big the armies are. This is a gem of an idea. It seems that the graphical limitations allow for many more units to be on the battlefield than what we can currently get. Assuming that tactical runs the same as strategic, the number of units and the size of the map could be much larger. Tying map size to unit c
how to make this a 90+ metacritic game: specialized, well designed troops, more specialization in each faction, steal ideas from warmachine, well designed and unique tactical maps. And obviously: balance, balance, balance. Buy a couple of boxes of warmachine, learn the rules, play on a desk with the team. Look at the best tactical games that's come out over the years, how close are the tactical battles to this in war of magic? (fr
