I'm running at 1920x1080 and the font size seems fine for me. The choice of font is another thing, though :P Better than beta, but a lot of things still make me feel like I'm reading a word document :P

There are special resource tiles on the map that provide food when you build an improvement on them. You should always start by a Fertile Land tile, but there are others you can find (Wheat, Pumpkin patches, Oasis, etc). Build your first city right next to one, then click the food tile and there will be a "Build" button on the actions UI bar to construct the harvesting improvement. This will give you food for housing. Food doesn't accumulate, it's more of "this is how much you can support", s
Since some stores broke street date, they had to rush their tech guys to help with an early release. According to Frogboy, everyone's pretty exhausted (they worked straight through the weekend), so while the servers physically exist, they won't turn Multiplayer on until next week (from the last post I saw) so some of their guys can rest a bit.
Did you click on the city center? Were you already supporting the max number of enchantments? You can only maintain as many enchants as you have Essence, unless they changed it for release.
Yeah, the text was written based on the actual world map, but Elemental's camera is off to the side so all the directions are off unless you rotate the camera to match.
If by tomorrow you mean today, then yes :)
There's way too much flakiness in Champion power.. both between Champions and between Champions and creatures/armies. Just like a Champion has no business doing 1000 damage, a Champion also has no business getting one-shotted by a group of peasants with clubs because their attack roll is a combination of all their damage, and the Champion only has 20 hp.
They're all different spellbooks. Only some are available on creation, others you have to find. Existing Sovereigns are "lore" characters, so they get stuff that matches their story. Custom Sovereigns only get the 4 elements, Enchantment, and Summoning to start.
I would love it if the ESC key closed open windows. Another weird thing is that the keypresses don't act as toggles. Say if opening Inventory was 'I' (I'm not sure that it is), you'd assume that you hit I once to open it, then you can hit I again to close it. What actually happens is every time you hit I (or hold it down) it keeps opening the same window over and over, making you close every single one afterwards.
The math stuff is accurate in the Kingdom Report from what I can tell. The City HUD and the bar on top can be a little wobbly in some cases.
There will be another patch today.
Elerion and ddd are correct. There has to be a measure of balance since the Sovereign/Hero stats magnify the attack/defense from weapons and armor considerably, while on regular units they are static.
Yes, the default Sovereigns don't strictly follow the rules since they're "lore" characters.
You're not missing anything. I'm not sure if it's by design or not, but right now you can't cast spells out of cities. My gut says it's not quite by design, since that means a defending Sovereign can't get the city garrison bonus and cast on the map at the attacker at the same time.
Today's patch is supposed to give the campaign a bit more guidance, which is another reason to mess around in Sandbox first and come back to it.
I believe that patch was supposed to release last night, so you might want to check Impulse. I'm not sure if it did or not.
Congratulations, lucky people! Well done :)
Hrm there's a thread with names lurking around here from beta, some fun gems there :P
The day0 patch isn't out yet.
Instead of thinly veiling your rant as a "can I get a refund?" question, you should just e-mail and ask.
think Wisdom is very useful, because Wisdom is Essence
That's why it's not useful though, it's not really a separate stat as such. Once you leave character creation, there's no Wisdom. The heroes you recruit don't have Wisdom, either.
The patch today is supposed to do a balance pass over creatures and units. I realize you probably expected more of a discussion, but we should wait and see what happens with the patch and if it fixes any of these issues :P
By "workshop" quest do you mean the level 2 quest that asks for 2 stones in return for a shield?
Well the point is that they enable the recruitment of the special units. If SD did it right, then razing the city would disable the improvement. Not that I'm saying that they *shouldn't* level up, but there is a point to them.
Channeler is sort of a generic term meaning someone who channels magic (which is what imbuing allows). A farmer can be a channeler, but a channeler doesn't have to be a farmer. Does the unit somehow behave unexpectedly?
