^^ Me too, just use child, adult, and maybe old fart. Who cares if the kid is 20 or 50? He's an adult. But, while the sov & kin do age, champions don't. That's weird. At least, I don't remember them aging since the last time I played, which was about 2 builds ago.

When I saw the thread's title I was like "No way!" but after reading the op's post I agree 100%. Even in a post-apocalyptic world, a forest would still produce some wood, else it wouldn't be a forest. Actual resources wouldn't have disappeared from the world, just man's abilitiy & knowledge to harvest them. Granted, such resources would be minimal, but it would be something. It doesn't make sense to have umpteen forest tiles around a city, but only the
Thanks James, I didn't know that.
I played FFH2 just a couple of times. It was fun, but man oh man the crappy ai killed it for me. As soon as I saw a civ with well over 200 of those 'ritualist' units in their coastal cities, and not a single ship, I was pretty much done. The demon faction never even moved the strongest unit it started with, it's demon hero, not even while I was walking around it razing their cities. The elves sent a buttload of ships over and blockaded my coast when I d

Actually, mine started doing max damage after the first time my army panicked. Before that they were working fine. Coincidennce?
I'll try that. Thanks!
So panic is NOT a spell, correct?
No, it's what happens when your morale hits zero. They may or may not have to take damage first to panic, mine always panic after getting hit with blizzard or something. Although, iirc there is a spell called 'panic', but the panic it does something else.
Well, since your sov and son are also insane, I don't recommend parking in a city, especially a nice one. Best thing is to send them to a corner, raise mountain on the 8 tiles around him, and hit fortify, heh.
That's why I said a level 5 city, so a prestige hit wouldn't matter because they ain't growing. Unless, having too many insane people would actually make people leave, causing a negative prestige.&nb
Agree 100% with the OP. The current dynasty system is simply a way to get more champions. There's no point in knowing who is in line to the throne if the heirs don't take over when the Sov dies. And I don't get why the 1st in line's son becomes 2nd in line, instead of the second born child? Offsprings info cards are simply copied from the parent of the same gender. They even show the parent's name. If Rillis has a daughter, the daughters bio will b
I get the jump build thing too, and yeah it's annoying as hell, but it doesn't happen all the time, though it is often. Same thing happens once in a while when I move units, right before I click the screen will do a quick scroll or something and I end up clicking somewhere else, and then off the units go...
Yeah, their spouses are equivalent to the npc's in the escort quests. Anyways my sovs tend to take a while to get married, as I'm pretty picky when to comes to choosing a queen. I'd rather keep my sov single then stick him with some fugly city administrator that is useless except for maybe as archer support in a ma
Morale is broken. My Sov is cruel & insane, and in fights against a Sov with intimidate we panic as soon as they use their first attack. Nothing else seems to matter: not army size, not killing their units, nada. I was attacking their sov, I had about 12 units, most of them champions with a few summoned giants, and had killed every enemy unit on the first turn except for the Sov (was saving him for last), and as soon as he got an attack my army stood still fo

Well they can always get to the city via clicking the icon on the Empire Tree, but shhh they may not know that ;P
Noticed it... I always thought the player was trying to establish trade with that city, but for some reason the caravan wouldn't establish a trade route. We can't park our caravans on their cities, after all.
^^ The fact that people still love MoM today is a testament to the last part of your post. 3d graphics? Nope... Hell, MoM's graphics aren't even remotely decent by today's standards, but it doesn't matter because it gives you everything else you need and your imagination fills in the rest.
Yeah, the panicking only happens in tactical. Interestingly, after that first fight, when I auto'd it after about half my stack was cut down, we were victorious, BUT the summary screen only showed the enemy sov as being killed. It didn't list the other 5 or 6 units he had with him... Then the 'can't end the turn' bug kicked in, so I had to reload and do the fight over. A few turns later I noticed the bow bug kicked in, and all my bows were doing max damage. I won
Since all the units are basically 'men', do the modders have what they need to make shorter/taller races like dwarves, kender, or elves? I know there's an elf mod in the works, but going from that thread the elves will be an existing race with a new skin (i.e. man-sized). The game really should include what would be needed to make shorter/taller races even if those races aren't to be used in the unmodded game itself. What about a slider system for height & width?
All I'm going to say is I didn't buy this game for the game 'as is'. I bought it for what the modding community will bring to the table, once they get rolling.
1. I had this same issue, but then another forumer mentioned that you could still see the city's prod in the summary on the bottom of the screen. Since then I've had no issues, though I do often have to close out the build screen to see what all the city can make. 2. Agreed. I've had several cities get attacked and I had no clue which city it was. 2b. Agreed, I still think the quest system is being ironed out. I still get huts that don

Y'know, I didn't think of the other sov being intimidating... But still, when the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor they should offset those a little bit... I think the stack's total combat rating was around 700, and at the time of panicking we faced one sov with an attack of 17 and no support. This, after taking down Pariden and almost all of Capitar's cities. Where are the bonuses?
After the updates morale is still messed up. Just got shredded, was hitting the Capitar sov, took out all his units and left him by himself for a one on one with my firstborn son. But, he blizzarded! And my army of about 8 champs all panicked, then he just went one by one and proceeded to hack 'em to pieces. When he was about half-way through I auto-resolved and hey, we won! Then the 'can't end the turn' bug kicked in. Granted my sov starts with cruel but
