So, yeah my last game I lost 4 Colonels in 1 round of a terror mission!!! This mission was 1 day before I finished Titan armor too. Basically it went down like this. I cleared out the chrysalid near the front. But I was basically pinned down while I watched the AI pop 10 civilians. I tossed a battle scanner because I knew that in the fog would be an ugly site. 7 chrysalid's and zombies were waiting for me. Still pinned down next turn I finish off the zombies near me and

I bought it on release day. It is awesome and classic is rough. Pre-Enemy within most of my games got pretty far on classic. I'm now celebrating the first game where mutons are turning up in the rotation. The exhalt missions are pretty rough at the level of gear you generally have when the french convoy appears. I'm starting to value beam weapons more. Just the first upgrade for pistols and rifles. With the seekers appearing as early as they do (same time floaters appear) the extra da

My first computer game was Lunar Lander for the Apple II. The first game I played on a PC was Commander Keen.

Sometimes when you see stuff cheats are worth enabling. I was playing primals game the other day and his sov was swimming. I'm not sure what mods he had. But when you see odd stuff like that it's worth looking at. I actually would like a replay feature added to the game, in the way distant future. In Starcraft I generally try to review all my matches. Sometimes after reviewing my games I realize that my opponent didn't cheat, which I assume everytime I
Your comment is the fallacious argument 'hyperbole' -- twist things to an extreme. No one is calling for skynet, we're addressing 'dumb' things the AI still does (like having 30 or so armies just sitting there unmoving when at war with the player, webbing already webbed units, etc.). Please don't be a willy, and instead keep the discussion helpful. Thanks!
Sorry about that,</p
14, 2013 1:24:33 PM from Elemental Forums I'll write more on the particular challenges on LH AI but I will say that if people call the AI in 1.5 "broken" that I think it'll be time to throw in the towel on lh AI. I'll know then that some people have unrealistic expectations.
I think people just want Brad to invent Skynet.
It's still preachy, though. Transhumanism-friendly people like me don't necessarily agree with that message. You want genuine shady stuff? We're shooting down UFOs that crash-land in populated areas, probably killing hundreds or thousands. That said, the expansion is absolutely wonderful, in part because the new maps and the addition of time-critical secondary objectives has changed the

Poor Stardock, their expansion releases have been fast and furious considering the amount of work and content that has been added. Yet we still chew threw it like a hot chainsaw through butter. I agree though more Elemental plz.

I disagree with most of the games you listed here. Other then the fact that most of these are not AAA games even though some come from AAA studios. The thing to remember is most of these games have scripted encounters, enemy units tuned so well that an illusion is created that the AI is competent, or have a small number of units with a very limited number of actions (i.e. Chess). GalCiv2 and, with each iteration of the game, Elemental are a couple rare examples of decent AI in a procedurally

Stefancoe, Can you provide the debug.err, the files located in the ProgramData/Stardock, and the save game where this is happening? This will help Stardock identify the issue.

How is everyone liking this expansion? The MEC troopers are cool. It's a little disturbing how they perform the transformation. I'll be honest I got a little queezy thinking about it. But then I was back to blowing things up so I got over it.

The summon Lightbringer's casted spell Blinding Light does not mention that dodge is reduced like it does for the spell Blindness. "Enemies within 1 tile suffer a -25% to Accuracy for 5 turns, unless they resist." is the current tool tip. Should read unless "Enemies within 1 tile suffer a -25% to Accuracy and Dodge for 5 turns, unless they resist." The tooltip for Summon Lightbringer is correct.
