Just a quick update on the issue, guys. We have addressed the cause of the slowdown here at the office. The fix will be in a future update. Thanks for reporting about it.
I have Stardock installed on my C:\ and I have Elemental itself in the impulse directory on my D:\ I have searched both with read only unchecked in order to see all hidden files and folders and what Carielf is asking for is just not there in either location. There are no other locations on my drives that I know of that have ANY directories related to stardock or impulse besides the other SD games I own and there is no reason
Thanks for the post. I have looked into and fixed the problem. Instead of showing the amount of mana that the player's sov has, it will show the amount the player has in their global pool of mana. So this is just a minor thing that was overlooked in the switch to the global mana system. The fix will be in a future update.
Ok, thanks
Try what Arendis has suggested and let us know if you still have problems or not.
During the beta, the game downloads the data files. For this to work you have to be logged onto an Impulse account. If you had crashed and then run the game right away and saw this error message, it might just be that the crashed game log on hasn't timed out yet. Usually if you wait a min or two and try again, it will work again without changing anything. If that doesn't work, you can hit Shift + Tab on the main menu screen to pull up the Impulse overlay, to make sure
Debug file should be the second link.
Yeah, I saw that you've included the debug.err file. I'm talking about a crash dump that will have a .zip file extension. Specifically, the part of that forum link I sent you that I wanted you to read (because you already included the debug.err and a gamesave), was this: If you have a crash, please check your program data folder for
Thank you for the crash dump zip. It should help us narrow down where things are going wrong.
It would be most helpful if you could provide the crash dump zip, as outlined here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/391297 Thanks! Also, does the save you've already attached reproduce the problem for you? Because when I load it up and choose navies, nothing crashes. I hit turn a few times and still no crash. If it crashes for you still, what are the reproduction steps? Example: Load it up and hit
looking into it. Thanks for the additional post with the zip, I was just about to ask for it.
zip #1 is corrupted. Possibly from an uploading problem. Can you re-upload it?
ahh, I see. Well then, ignore me. [e digicons]|-)[/e]
Thanks for the report. If you could also include the crash dump .zip file as outlined here https://forums.elementalgame.com/391297 that would be most helpful.
Could you be more specific as to when this is happening? I see them on the map when in cloth map mode.
I get a message stating I can add bows to my troops and you can see it here by the one labeled archer and the bow in hand. But none of my towns can build this troop.
Could it be simply that you've forgotten that your town needs an Archery to build archers (guys with bows)?
sorry, I just noticed your question. If you still wanted to know, any xml in your My Games directory is always loaded as xml. It is not included in the Data.zip file.

based on the description of your Militia guy that I can see in the 2nd screenshot, you seem to have based him off of the regular pioneer. If that is the case, the reason you cannot group militia guys is because they are pioneers, and pioneers cannot be grouped. Pioneers are consumed when they are used to build a city. Groups are non-separable, and if you had a group of 4 (or any other size) pioneers, they'd all be consumed when you build your city.

(autosave so it may not be too helpful) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6609288/debugcrash109r.err This is the debug.err
If you have a .zip of this crash like was provided in the first crash, it would be most helpful. See the sticky thread he
What I see when I load up this save is a city of yours has two guys stationed (pioneer and another guy), with a wolf about to attack that city. The wolf attacks your city, and only has a battle against the guy that has >0 attack. Auto-resolve it, and wolf wins. Pioneer, having not been in the fight, is still in the city, "defending" it, even though he has no attack. Hit turn a few times until the wolf decides to attack again. No battle occurs, wolf takes city,
since you are able to so quickly determine that it's still a problem, you must have a reliable way to make it happen. Any chance you have a save from just before they are attacked?
Thanks for the info, we're on it.
Thanks for the report. Looks to be a crash we are seeing others report too. Just need to track down the cause. Thanks again.
