[e digicons]k1[/e] btw, I had to give karma to anyone willing to do a research paper to make a point. I like the cacti myself, I am from northern Utah and the place I grew up had lots of prickly pear cactus (I spent some time as a youth pulling quills out of my feet, and one time my hands and kness when I fell into one. I do agree with you landi that it gives a southwestern U.S. flavor to whole thing. I am not sure if you are just needing some scrub added around the base or don'

Thanks GW I did not know that (about GC2). [e digicons][/e] I mostly wondered because in the first screen shot from the most recent Dev journal, there is a heavy black line that separates the high ground of the hill from the lowlands below. To me that art style seemed to represent a set camera angle...I can see how they could get it to work with a rotating camera as well, but right or wrong, it gave me the impression of a fixed camera angle.

The screen shots you just posted lead me to believe the camera angle is going to be fixed (like GC2) rather than freely rotating (like SoaSE). Is that right? This is not a complaint by the way I can see how scrolling out to the map you might want that, and personally I like it. I just had envisioned up until now that you would be rotating the camera around, but I wouldn't be disappointed if I was wrong - just curious. If the camera does rotate, will it be by compass points or
quoting post As we reach the end of June we’re racing ahead towards trying to get an alpha out sometime in July Like tomorrow? Just the main menu of the game! The options don't even need to work yet. You are forgiven because of cool screenshots, interesting info (like the possible mini-game) and that I'm distracting myself with Blood Bowl. Anyways, thank you for the info. [/

I loved the achievements in Sins of a Solar Empire. Those type of achievements should 100% be in. In game bonuses, I pretty much agree with Wintersong - although a small in-game bonus that was VERY hard to earn I think could also be fun, but should only apply to single player. And by small I mean that if you completed a Hard game using only "fire" magic, then maybe you get a 1-5% bonus to fire spells in future games as an example. (Although at this point I don't even know

Good points pigeonx2, I will leave it to the great minds at SD to figure out as I am not on the payroll to solve these niggling little problems. Thanks Frogboy! I do not know if you have seen any of the surveys that I have done on the forums using SurveyMonkey.com. The last survey I did was what questions they would like answered in a FAQ. Here were the results from that if it would be helpful... Here are the most popular questions and their average rating (higher is better). 24 ppl took the survey. 1. Was any decision reached regarding the economic model? &n
It is a seriously bad idea, when variables like fow (and the complication of you order your units to attack someone, but they run out of your reach, there still needs to be a way to decide priority) are taken into account. I agree with the concern of player not submitting their moves simultaneously. In a multiplayer game with 10 human players, if in late game a player takes 3 minutes tot ake a turn that is 2 turns an hour. And I have played with people that in late game with lots of stacks 3 minutes would likely be very wishful thinking, and 6 minutes might be more likely. Now if people are waitng almost an hour for their turn, there are people that will be taking bio breaks, making sandwiches etc., meaning the

I guess the correct term is "tweet". Not going to apologize for not being Twitterpated. [e digicons

To further narrow down my guess: 5:00 pm Eastern Daylight time on July 2.

At the very least I would expect either an email or a PM (or both). It would be weird if it just showed up on Impulse and there was no other notification.
Quoting Denryu, reply 20 I have a couple of questions regarding the 4th image. There are grid lines on that image. What is the scale of the game world (how many x how may of these grids?) It appears that a unit would have a lot of room to roam within one of those grids - how many "movement squares" is one of those grids made up of? I'm pretty sure that you can think of those grids to be
