Having a different experience playing a female Sovereign from a male Sovereign would be great. And I'm not talking about male Sovereigns not being able to wear skirts...
Initiating pregnancies should require both parents to 'share a stack' for some brief time (I don't think we can expect to see menstrual cycles properly woven into the code, but that would be awseome IMO). After that, the female's location determines where the new child appears, so we have both the chance of some very special champions who were literally born on a battelfield and the general strategic need to keep pregnant nobles/champions
They are placeholders. They mean nothing. In the future, stats like Strenght will mean something, equipment will be balanced... No one would seriously believe that female Sovereigns cannot have any defense score and to be forced to pick up swords to get 10 attack because they lack any decent equipment at all. It's safe to assume that the game will include some different pieces of equipment that support some types of tactics (tank, scout...) plus maybe some extra unlocked by talen
Shouldn't that ghost be like 3 years old then?[e digicons];P[/e]
Situation: One of my children enters battle with a brotehr and some soldiers to prevent the invasion of my one my cities. The battle is won but the Prince dies in it. Checking the Dynasty window I see that he is stated as DEAD with 37 years of age. Some turns later I check the same info. Expected result: The Prince should have remainded as DEAD with 37 years of age. What really happened: In this game, DEAD can age!!! <img src="http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Utaku
I like the system as it is. Needs tweaks, ok, but I like to decide were to build things. And hoping for some day, having battles by city sections and the need to conquer the palace (or city centre) instead of "attack city anywhere and if you win, city is yours".
It probably would make more sense if the Child was born in the same tile as the channeler, but ah well, its much more conventional for the wife to remain in the capital, and thus that is where the child will be born. I always wanted this but Stardock fears Cheese. *shrug*
Q: Wouldn't it be cool if you guys did a public event or something along those lines in which you challenge the public to create quest lines. A: Ofcourse!
https://forums.elementalgame.com/371555/
Q: When is BETA 2 scheduled to start? A: Beta 2 is the Multiplayer beta of Elemental. We still have quite a bit of work to do in order to have it in a state where it can be provided to the external beta players. It was originally scheduled for March 18th but has been pushed back to a new tentative date of April 1st.
I know you release builds in Thursdays but... seriously? Let's hope for a prior release that actua
She would only lack defense score at this point. And in any case, we are just beta testing things and the only thing they cannot beat out of the box are trolls. :P
Situation: move the mouse over the border of one resource or city. Expected result: infocard with all the text and graphics in its place inside it. What really happens: if you mouse over the very border of it, the text of the resources floats to the upper left corner and the icons of the city appear in the upper part of the card instead of the lower one. (pity of no cursor on screen, sorry; grid on screen helps to test it as you can use it as reference) <img src="http:
Situation: Load a game and check one of my two cities. The one to the south. Expected result: the dotted line of the city should include all the buildings of the city. What really happened: some of the buildings, including the Palace, were not considered part of it (at least visually?). I include savegame: <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4996295
That's weird that equipment doesn't cost anything, and that we can't see the bonuses.
Frogboy said long time ago that the equipment of the Sovereign would be something more than eye candy. But right now, as many things in the Beta, seems more placeholder than anything else (free, no costs, no info about bonuses...). A nice touch of things to come, anyway.
Does anything different happen if you are playing a Female Character instead of a Male Character, in particular during pregancy?
Nothing happens. Maybe in the future Stardock will add something or maybe not. But right now there is no difference between playing male or female.
I max the option. Why go half way? :P
Balancing placeholders? With fixed values currently used for custom sovereigns? I'd wait to have a more defined system before the go the balance route. <img src="http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Utaku_Areka/Elemental/2010-03-06_1252.png" alt="" wi

Situation: A stack of enemy units selected, where you can see all the individuals units that form it. Click one of the units to tryo to take it out of the stack. Or build a city there and when your influence transforms that terrain, use Teleport. Just giving options.
If they sell out before anybody has a chance to upgrade, it'd make sense for them to authorize more of them. I don't think they're going to take the most fanatical customers and say
[e digicons]:X[/e]
Yeah, what if the LEs run out before we can upgrade?
Although that worries me too, at the same time, regulars here shouldn't have any problem getting the Limited Edition. Or does Elemental has 10.000 preorders already?
To be honest I'm alarmed at the vehemence with which some people oppose certain ideas for multiplayer. Before anybody posts a passionate flame about why any suggestion for multiplayer should not be developed into the game please remember one simple idea - These features can be optional. Neat.[e digicons][/e] Dragons may be all awesome but some dinosaurs (or similarly sized creatures) sounds quite epic to me too. (and reminds me of my still unused God: God Zilla XD )
Sorry if the question sounds silly but I need to ask it: Are all the Lizards, Snakes, Dragons, and Saurians/Dinosaurs anthropomorfic? Or only some of them?
