Sadly, that would probably enthrall me for hours. I'd sit there staring at it, imagining that I'm playing a game of Elemental. I'd probebly create mock-up interfaces based on it to show how the interface could be improved.
I must agree with both, specially with pigeonpi

I think that mines should be able to be depleted by the user. I don't think it should be easy but it would be good that slowly but steadily the mine runs out of "essence" and you have to close it. In smaller maps wouldn't be a problem (except that you could scalate the effect) but in bigger maps it would be quite interesting. The possibility of running out of resources of this kind could be countered with scavenging of battlefields (I already asked about this but too soon
As far as my memory goes, essence doesn't come back. You use it, you lose it. So you save it and become a god-like being or you spend it in other minions, losing yourself power but making stronger servants. At least that was the idea Frogboy was preaching somewhere along the timeline.
Spycraft 3 types of spying techniques: Human/Fallen as they are plus normal training. Human/Fallen as they are plus normal training plus magic support from the Channeler (and/or Heroes/Champions?). Magic by the Channelers (and Heroes/Champions?) Spies are normal units: you take them from the normal population, give them a compulsory training, some optional equipment and s/he is ready to go out there to unmask whichever secrets are to
Insert DVD #149?
Let us alhpa test the start menu of the game. Maybe also some of its options. Or release some random screenshots. Maybe tease us with Elemental Music.
Damn, still 2 days more until they release it here.[e digicons]:\[/e]
LAN almost certainly. Hot seat maybe. PBEM, not sure yet.
(Maybe) Yay![e digicons]:D[/e] I must say that if there is a game that can make me interested in multiplayer (with no rl friends), this one could be it. Specially if there are game modes that allow faster "ending". Not against long games as long as they don't drag but I don't always have the time for them and it's nice to be able to finish a game (eve
THe real problem is that we (all of us) want to know everything about the game. Now. No excuses. If the alpha was released right now, many would have problems to take the time to post a "thank you" before pouncing over Impulse to download it and... well, you know. The multiplayer aspect is the only special topic that wouldn't be solved with the alpha/beta release but I think that it's just a matter of time for Starodck to really see how things develop before taking a final stance abou
My memory sucks but I don't remember Paradoxnt posting here since a very long time. So maybe just trying to catch up and give his opion in the threads that for him offer something to comment.
I wouldn't say it's difficult to get a copy of a game, in general at least. You won't have problems with games like Empire: Total War, Call of Duty X, The Sims, WoW,... And I'm talking PC market as I barely touch the console one (and it would only be the ocasional PSP or DS rpg title) so I prefer to remain quiet about what I don't know. But if we refer to get a copy of a strategy game (tbs type)... yeah, unless you are Civilization, Heroes of Might and Magic or maybe Europa Unive
I take Stardock's silences as "We are working. We will let you know something as soon as we have something to tell you.". They have learned some lessons/tricks from Demigod so surely they are also trying to take them into account for Elemental (about design of features, not about p2p multiplayer)
Thanks for the explanation.[e digicons]:D[/e]
This game could be released as a real-time strategy game and I would still be happy
I wouldn't.[e digicons]XD[/e] I really cannot wait for the beta. And not just to be able to play it but to really start seeing what Stardock is trying to make and in which way we can offer the best feedback.
Hi there. Here Wintersong with another useless thread to make sure that you can never said that you haven't done anything that wasted your time. Today's topic is: Well, what about the distribution of the game worldwide and beyond? Some will say that "Buy it from Impulse and forget about it" ormaybe that "It's too soon" or that "They are too busy, why bother them with this?" or... add to infinity. Lets see: Galactic Civilizations II : a r
Edit: two words: Super "SOLDIERS"
Which would be the difference with "SUPER" Soldiers? Shouldn't be the "super" part the important one?
The game ends when the channeler dies. The campaign is about two channelers beating each other (more or less according to speculation). Not likely a succesion/aging system in place? Surely for the campaign not but maybe they could add it to the skirmish/sandbox if time/money allows it.
Let them make a solid system for release and then increase it through expansions and mods made by users.
[e digicons][/e] All these threads feel like an oasis in the desert. Keep them coming!
So no one wants truly "alien" creatures? I only read there races based on real animals of this planet or the usual folklore ones. That there are no spaceships (aka this is not sci-fi) doesn't mean that there could not be crystal based lifeforms just to mention one possibility. My factions have an already extensive background for them and I am waiting to be able to flesh them in this game. But they are humanoids so... By the way, Tolkien also had dragons.[e digicons]O:)[/e]
