[quote who="Raven X" reply="191" id="2688694"] 4) How about having this be variable on how powerful the spell or attack is? The stronger the spell or the stronger the attack it will use more AP's. If a man can swing a sword and do 5 damage at a cost of 1 AP, why should a Wizard be able to cast a spell that levels a small army for 1 AP? If a Man can shoot a bow at a Dragon for 1 AP, why should it cost the Dragon only 1 AP to breath fire on the entire army? I understand the need to k

Tactical combat is better but magic is still overpowered. My sovereign can still take out all enemies in the first round using spells from the beginning of the game.
[quote who="Tridus" reply="176" id="2687862"] To get around Brad's concern you need a separate "tactical speed" stat, but TBH I think combat speed right now is overpowered since it boosts effective damage and tactical movement speed. Having a single movement stat affect both places doesn't strike me as a big problem compared to how crazy something with a high combat speed is right now (as it can either move and attack, or stand still and attack a LOT). Units are now refunded their action points every time initiative switches (defender to attacker, attacker to defender), rather than after each round. Units use these action points to counter attack. 1 AP per counter attack. When you're out of AP, you're done counter attacking. Please note that this doesn't
[quote who="ddd888" reply="148" id="2687742"] we are not talking about a footman we are talking about dragons, wyrm, powerful champions ofc you can nuke a critter, but you cant with a dragons so locking a dragons making him waste AP against summoned creatures or shit is a cheating mechanics just a plain sucking of AP cant work, there is a non opinable flaw in this system

Summon ship doesn't work either.
Same here. Actually if you equip it and exit the menu really fast it won't crash. This is the case for soldier creation at least. Not sure for sovereigns.
When this happens to me I press escape a few times until the options menu comes up. Then I hit "back to game" and I am able to play. Almost always works for me.
Only checked during war. I currently have a game where I can't get to my last enemy because of it!
In the current build it is impossible to raise or lower land within an opponents area of influence. I think these spells would be a lot more interesting if they could be used any where. With the current settings an opponent could wall themselves off with mountains and only lower land to let their own troops out. As long as the mountains are inside his area of influence there would be no way to counterattack.
In C:\Users\(your user name)\Documents\My Games\Elemental\Units you can find the xml files for your own custom units, including sovereigns. You can even create a mounted sovereign.
I'm no longer able to choose tactical battles in game. Battles automatically auto resolve. This switch seems to take effect the first time I attack a city.

I was waiting for this release and I'm glad it's out. I spent a while and struggling through the various stages of the install process with MTX but I'm giving up for now. According to the homepage they are going to release a non-MTX version in a few days, which they probably should have done to start with.
I always prefer to view forums in this way but I didn't know it was an option here. Thanks.
This motherboard/RAM/CPU is about $400: http://www.hardware-revolution.com/hardware-revolutions-1000-gaming-build-version-2-0/ This one is just barely under your budget: http://www.hardware-revolution.com/600-gaming-pc/ The more you spend the longer it will last. Personally, I have the i7-920 but I think the i5-750 is probably the best deal for the price.
I'd rather see something like the banishment system from the RTS Sacrifice. Once destroyed the channeler would return after a number of terms determined by a several factors. In order to completely destroy the channeler some ritual would have to be performed before the channeler reappears in the world (although in a weakened state: low health, low mana). The channeler would have to reappear at the place where the ritual needs to be performed so that if the channeler reappears the enemy would
